Location is spot on. Between the main square and the night life areas. Very close to all the main shopping streets, cafes, bars, restaurants and markets. You can walk pretty well everywhere from here. The hotel is slightly old and the shower was a very tight fit. The buffet breakfast was in an open area next to the lobby, but the food was fine.
The hotel is situated in the centre of Thessaloniki about 15 minutes walk from the white tower. There are nice restaurants very close to the hotel. The staff was helpful. The room was average size. The bed was comfortable but the condition of the bathroom was not great, The drain was blocked and the water was flooding in the shower, the shower curtain was falling all the time etc. Good location but average facilities.
Other than having an odd name for a hotel in Greece. The hotel Luxembourg provides a comfortable service and is very central to the fun areas of thessaloniki. Close to the harbour and the restaurants, you will not have to walk to see the sights of the city. The rooms are a little small, but adequate and clean. There is hot water, although the shower space is small. The breakfast is diverse and the enjoyable. Staff a friendly and take making coffee serious :)
One smal and very clean hotel. You are exactly in the city center and 1 minute walk from the Aristotelous square. The rooms are small, the toilet extremely small only for fit persons, the breakfast good, and the staf very polite
Well located, clean and friendly hotel. Comfortable room, cosy but, small balcony adds an extra dimension. It's always a bonus to step out into the fresh air and look at the neighbourhood. Unfortunately the bathroom was a tight squeeze, showering with the curtain stuck to your back was not a pleasant experience, but tolerable. The breakfast buffet was well stocked, but get down there early before the tour group settles in, it does get cramped and stuffy. My three night stay was more than comfortable.
We stayed in a family room with our daughter and the room size was very comfortable. This hotel is in a great location within walking distance of all the great areas in Thessaloníki. The only down side of this hotel is that the breakfast area is terrible. We couldn't move in the room. There are too many tables squeezed in a small area and you could barely pull the chair out.
The room I got was so tiny that the bed took up most of the space. The pillows were filled with that cheap, lumpy synthetic stuff. (When I asked for two more, they were thankfully good, firm, foam pillows). The shower was awful--just a nozzle hanging from a fixture that was elbow-height, meaning that you could not stand underneath it with your hands free. No, you had to hold the shower nozzle in one hand. This reminded me of low-quality hotels in Greece and Italy where I used to stay thirty years ago. The shower curtain was too short, so that by the end of the shower, there was water all over the floor. The towels were of low quality, grey (instead of white) from repeated washing. The breakfast was fair, consisting of a good variety of food, but the "juice" was actually a sugary drink. Also, the breakfast area was fairly cramped. 눇The location of this hotel is excellent, near the water and Plateia Aristotelous. In the room, I found that the mattress was of good quality. The young man who greeted me at the Reception desk was friendly and helpful.
Situated near the Aristotelous square (1-2 mins away) this low budget hotel has an excellent location. However, the hotel itself needs major renovation. The rooms are old fashioned although it looks like they were painted recently. Cannot say the same for the tiny ancient bathroom. The shower was 2x2 with an old curtain. After a shower the bathroom was like a small pool. Old tiles, old doors, old door frames. Breakfast was very plain the first day but it improved during the weekend. Although very simple. Tiny breakfast area, not enough for all hotel residents. Staff was very polite. Most probably will not return.
Accommodated here for a week end. Bad decision! Despite their advertised "all rooms have balconies" at level 1, former mezanine maybe, there are some improvised very small rooms. I had the bad-luck to be accommodated there. Very low ceiling. No balcony and low positioned window (you can look outside only if you sit on the chair). Very small bathroom with shower with curtain. All water fill the bathroom. Outdated furniture, only twin beds. No matrimonial bed. Light bulbs in low power. The tv set provide more light then the whole bulbs in the room. Floor with tiles even in the room not only in bathroom. Elevator old and very-very-very small!! The smaller elevator i've ever seen! Something like "one person elevator" if there is concept for that.. The staff, very politely, refuses to give another room. Not an experience for romance, family with children or similar. For sure not an experience to have again, not even if they pay me!
The hotel has an amazing location right next to the city centre and a walk away from practically anything you might want to see. It has a very good service the rooms are clean and the breakfast is good enough. The biggest downside is the side of the shower tab, which is really small and inconvenient. Other than that we had a small issue with the air conditioning but we were lucky enough to be able to use the window. Very pleasant stay overall.
