The location was great. We went there for family vacations and it was more than we expected. The hotel rooms are very close to the beach and the pool area. Beach bar is available all day for coffees and cocktails. The restaurant is located on the top of a small hill near the hotel. The view from there, specially the sunset is outstanding!!!
Beautiful views, friendly stuff, quiet getaway and spectacular sea! Spent lots of time on the beach and in the water, very pleasant resort! Food was great. A bit too far from the shops and restaurants and better to arrive by car. The only negative was, our room was not ready at 3 PM, we had a long travel for 2 days and would appreciate a room right away! Nevertheless, wonderful restful vacation at Elani Bay!
The hotel is located on the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel was tainted by the large number of bees around the complex. We were unable to take full advantage of our room and refrained from using the balcony as we were surrounded by bees within minutes. The bees were also present on the beach, in the reception area and at breakfast. Our room was satisfactory. Unfortunately, our living area did not have any windows and this made the room very dark. The kitchenette did not have a kettle and appeared to have adequate utensils. We sadly had to leave the hotel as a result of the wasps. It was quite difficult to relax and feel settled when you are constantly being bombarded by wasps. The manager and staff were very accommodating and were kind enough to provide us with a refund. The manager was particularly quite compassionate and very sympathetic about our concerns. I would recommend this hotel for people that do not mind wasps/bees. If you have a dislike or fear of wasps, this would not be an ideal place to stay.
It is an amazing beach, white sand, clear sea... you may reach the beach after a nice forest way. There is parking area, no fee. you should also see the sunset there. Beach bar is so romantic after sunset. You may use your own staff in the beach without any fee.
It was our first visit here and let's start with the good things. The place has great views no doubts about that, they have no so bad beach area, the food in the restaurant is very good, not only the breakfast but the dinner as well. The rooms are also not so bad, they were cleaned on a daily basis. But all the good things finished for one main reason, the wasps, bees and all other possible insects!!!!! Yes you think it is not such a big issue, but guess what it is. You try to enjoy your meal they are all around your dish and it is impossible to eat, on breakfast we ate very quick to avoid them. They are even on the beach and make terrible your day. You just cannot relax and that just facts. The staff, the people on the reception were great, very polite and helpful, but the staff on the beach very lazy. The private beach area is well prepared every day but guest area not, and why is that? I hope the management of the place will take a look to this comments because the resort has great potential, location is great, big parking place, but if the problem with the wasp won't be solved, the resort will only lose. Just an example - because of this problems we went to other beaches and restaurants every day instead of using the beach and restaurant in front of us.
A not crowded hotel beach bar but only for coffee. The music doesn't exist at all. The sea wasn't very nice and the sand on the beach also !! The cost for each Sun umbrella was 12€ for two. the coffees and the water was included
The perfect location, near to the sea. The hotel is very clean and beautiful, the food very good, and the people very welcoming and friendly. Here I found the perfect people for my wedding. All was perfect and beautiful. I'll come back here in every year. Thank you Elani Bay for the perfect vacation and the perfect wedding.
Loved our stay at the hotel it's in a fantastic location, the rooms and the beach are fantastic and the view is amazing. Due to location it feels almost private. The hotel staff were fantastic and helped us a lot, even helped to book a cruise with daysailing which is well worth trying. For me the hotel could make a few improvements, breakfast was good and what you expect in Greece, although the fruit juices were not fresh but made from concentrate which didn't seem to mix correctly. Also they seem to have a real issue with wasps at breakfast which got a little annoying. The restaurant was also a little basic for a resort like this, there wasn't much choice on the menu and lacked some real Greek traditional food, to get decent Greek food you will have to travel a little bit. The beach was fantastic and so were the sun beds, I do suggest you take a pair of beach shoes to go swimming with as there are a line of rocks as you enter the sea. Lastly the beach bar is expensive so just be aware, this is not unusual for this part of Greece though.
I had accommodation in room B11. Coming along with more friends, I found that all the rooms had the same facilities and comfort. Here you will have the beach, the bar is near the beach and on its way to it and it is provided with three terraces, for the restaurant you have to do exactly as much sport as you need before eating, and as much sport as you need after the meal. The beach has fine sand, sun beds and umbrellas. The only minus is the bottom of the water that is quite rocky. This can be solved by going into the water with a pneumatic mattress and getting rid of the shore.
The resort is truly amasing! The location is perfect - hidden in the forest, yet on the beach. You can enjoy spectacular views in every direction. From your sunbed you can even see mount Olympus in the distance! The staff was excellent, the food delicious and the rooms new and clean. The pools and the poolbar were perfect. I strongly recommend Elani Bay Resort for both family and romantic getaways!
