Seepark Hotel - Congress & Spa4.0 out of 5.0

This is a relatively new hotel with modernistic design inside and outside. It is on a canal at walking distance from the lake and near the University, but it is not close to the center, 10-15 min drive. The rooms have a modern design and look, are well appointed, quiet and comfortable. The lobby, restaurant and bar are well designed and pleasant. There is free parking and the wifi worked well. Service was a combination between excellent (people at the reception) and mediocre (bar and restaurant). Overall a very good place to stay.
Second visit to Klagenfurt, and second visit to Seepark. The location is perfect, right by the canal between Klagenfurt and Worthersee. It is a lovely hotel with helpful polite staff. Room cleaning was spotless, and a restaurant and the gig bar providing a bit of nightlife. We were there during Ironman Austria again, and it's the perfect hotel for that. Loxated right at the swim exit, by transition, so excellent for competitors and "Spectathletes" alike. Facilities are good and clean. Staff helpful. If I were to be critical; on the last night, as we were on the ironman half board option and the buffet had finished, we did feel a little like second class citizens as the menu was very limited. Ie One choice of starter and deserts. Food was excellent, just lack of choice on the last night.
This is our second time at the Seepark as we find everything it an excellent hotel. The disabled room is excellent and offers all the facilities required. The staff are very pleasant and professional.
Modern hotel with all facilities. Parking street-side free. Odd room-numbers lake site. Even numbers frontside. Warm welcome at reception, Our room (139) was with air-conditioning. WiFi free. Price/quality menu o.k. but they are charging cutlery (€2,50 p.p.). Buffet breakfast very good.
I recently stayed at the property for three nights as we were in the city for a friend's wedding. The room was a great size, facilities were fantastic with a pool and gym and great food at breakfast and also when we ate at the restaurant. All staff were very friendly but the best thing about the hotel was it's location as it had a leafy outlook and an easy walk down to the lake to enjoy swimming and lakeside restaurants.
We enjoyed the fairly spacious room, the efficiency, and the rather fun architecture of the place. Breakfast was good. The bar was a bit noisy. Though you couldn't see the lake, it was close, and it was a good place to stay if you want to visit Mahler's composing hut at Meiernigg! There were regular buses to the city centre.
Overall attempt at a modern design hotel with a lake view but that fails on several fronts which ruin the experience. Partly because of the confusing architecture and layout and partly because it is under maintenance it's not easy to find the restaurant, bar or even your room. Also and uncharacteristic of the Austrians and especially on the hospitality business, the staff was particularly cold and arrogant. The rooms are standard and maybe stylish. Bed is comfortable and standard amenities. The only saving point would be the breakfast which has standard assortment and high quality food. It's a pity that this "touristic" hotel of which I had high expectations turned out to be disappointing.
I spent only one night in Seepark Hotel in Klagenfurt , but it was very good expirience. They have a nice spa center so I could relax after 6hours od driving and 2 meetings. The breakfast is good and better solution is if you get the room on the Lake. The view is magnificent and if you wanna go for a walk you need only 5minutes to be on the lake, where you can find some very good restaurants. Nice expirience 👍
Since last visit had improved internet. Excellent breakfast. Good spa, small (swimming) pool and good sauna. Weaker care bedding. A little pricey hotel. Good parking place. The surroundings suggest you visit Pyramidenkogel.
Always well received while in town. Best facilities available and consistent service. Restaurant has improved but pricey for the region. A plus is a great night bar where you can enjoy a drink and meet fellow travellers
