This is one of the worst Mercure hotels I have aver been in. Maximum classification would be 3 star. There are way better Ibis choices than this Mercure. I recomand it only for 1 night sleep. The location is ok for people who drive along europe, it is close to the French border
We have enjoyed staying with this Mercure hotel. Very nice rooms and room service. Rooms were very clean. Personal was very supportive as well. Used several times the sauna and swimming pool - it was very clean and good quality. For sure will return to this place next time
Nice hotel well located. I appreciate very much the restaurant and the bar. The swimming pool and the sauna on the top is great. The personnel is very nice and professional. We like the location near to the center of the city and the congress house. We often come to this hotel for pleasure.
Offenberg is a good place to stay for the Christmas markets. We were a quite disappointed by the service and décor of the hotel. The carpets are old and corporate. The swimming pool was cold and the sauna / infra rouge room were both switched off. However the proximity to Offenburg and Strasbourg saved the weekend. Prices are hiked in December for the Christmas market. Perhaps we made a mistake booking directly thru the Accor website rather than booking.com. Parking at the hotel ia an extra 10 Euros and the width of the spaces are tight.
We spent 2 nights in room 304 from 1st to 3rd of december. Very close to Strasbourg for the Xmas market and a lot more affordable than Strasbourg area hotels. We were upgraded and had fresh fruits, chocolate bars, bottles of water and a coffee machine. Much appreciated. Got bathrobes as well. Staff was very good and restaurant good quality. The swimming pool was a plus. The only thing missing was flip-flop to go swimming. We highly recommend this hotel !
Mostly it was very enjoyable. The room was big and comfortable, the breakfast was great and the staff were generally friendly and obliging. However, it lost 1 star because of the following: (a) Friday night's meal was interrupted when we were asked to leave our table and finish our meal (desert) at the bar: it was 10:15 pm and we were nearly finished - inexcusably rude (the Cook and most staff left at 10:00 pm despite being advised the restaurant closed at 10:30); and (b), we were unexpectedly told we had to pay and extra Euro 10/night for parking. The cost for 2 cars for 2 nights was too much!. This should have been advised before we booked.
A slightly aging Mercure near some major roads and conference centres, about 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Rooms are large and reasonable, although our bed linen didnt seem very clean. We walked down to a bakery/cafe towards town for breakfast. We ate in the restaurant, which was a fairly pleasant environment and service but the food was not great. We has a nice drive out to the vineyard town of Durbach which is about 15 mins.
We stayed there for one night because the hotel is not too far from Europa park (around 30 min by car). First impression was not very good, we did not feel very welcomed by the reception. Also, the room was only made for one person despite having booked online for 2. Parking costs 10€ per day. It’s quite expensive, especially since the parking in front was full, the alternative is to park at the back of the building. Breakfast was good, great service. The localisation is also okay, not central but the hotel is close to the highway, shops and a few fast-food places.
It does not seem welcoming when they forget your welcome drink voucher. Do not feel like asking for it as it seems rude. Room clean. Staff in restaurant very good and helped with the internet even though the restaurant had a blind spot and could not connect. Internet worked in the bar.
I stay at this hotel just for one night. Room looks clean, but bathroom looks a bit old and the shower curtain need for sure to be replace. Loooong wait at checkin and checkout. Very disappointed with the hotel restaurant as after 8:30 pm they don't serve anymore a la carte but just a sleazy buffet, with very poor food quality. My personal impression is that the hotel needs to be a more oriented to the customer satisfaction. For sure this Mercure is not at Accor Hotels standards.
