I was kind of nervous about staying here after reading the reviews. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. I would recommend friends to stay here when in Iowa City.
The jacuzzi tub was very nice, room was clean and fairly quiet. Only complaint would be the curtains wouldn't close completely.
The pool was refreshing. They were in a state of repair. The outside really needed some weeding and freshening up. They need to offer some kind of breakfast.

Easy access but we booked this hotel because we wanted a pool- even stopped to buy a swim suit. When we checked in we were told the pool was closed and there wouldn’t be breakfast. The CDC recommendations don’t advocate closing pools because there isn’t any evidence to support closing because chlorine kills the virus. They charged the regular price even without a pool or breakfast. Really bad communication.
There was nothing really unique about the place it was pretty clean and the bed was pretty comfortable and it was quiet

Close to I 90, excellent Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel and a gas station across the street. Comfortable, clean and convenient.

The shower was dirty and the shower curtain rod was crooked so it couldn’t close. The floors were tile, which was fine for a pet-friendly room, but they felt pretty grungy. Overall, it just felt old, which perhaps it is. We could clearly hear a child from across the hall screaming crying for much of the night and later heard a family fighting right outside our window in the parking lot. It wasn’t a very restful night.
Great location. Breakfast was great (the usuals plus biscuits/gravy & scrambled eggs. The staff was friendly & check in went great. Really nice sleep over for the money.
Very poor internet. Couldn’t access internet all night. One room couldn’t access cable tv either.

Good value with an excellent traditional Mexican restaurant. The beds were too soft to get comfortable and Travhad replaced the advertised exercise room with a small, shallow pool. The entire staff were very courteous.
Out dated boaring hotel. Not very clean need some updates and had mold growing in the ac unit. Won't stay again.

I am sorry to hear of your issues with us, however I do need to point out that the IA health department mandated that all hotel/public pools and fitness centers be closed. It was not the hotels decision. We will reopen our pool when the health department decides it is safe for our guests. Thank you for your feedback.
