Wow! First class service from check in to check out. Would put this property up against any big name chain, chi chi boutique hotel or resort property. Special shout out to Dan at the Front Desk and Tony, Jarrod and Chance from In-Room Dining. Impeccable attention to detail and customer service. Rooms are big, spotless and beautifully appointed. I'm a weekly business traveler and Lifetime Platinum Elite member with another chain so I've spent many nights in hotels. For the Cedar Rapids area you won't go wrong with this property. Kudos!!

Beautiful, artistic, and unique atmosphere. Room was so comfortable and gorgeous bathroom. Service was exceptional. Enjoyed the restaurant as well which was delicious. Close to the airport and great parking.

From the time the sweet van driver picked us up from the hotel (wish I knew her name, July 18th 12:30 AM), to Michelle working the night shift at the front desk, I was greeted with happy smiles and a willingness to help. Had a delicious lunch at their Class Act restaurant with amazing service from Andrew. You are continually greeted by staff members with polite hellos and friendly smiles. The room was very clean and updated with a Keurig coffee maker. Next time you're in the area and need a hotel, this would be my first choice and should be yours, too!

Was supposed to fly out of Cedar Rapids airport. Plane had some kind of a mechanical problem and so Delta put us up at the Kirkwood. Never would I have expected an airline to put me in such a gorgeous Hotel. Rooms were big and beautifully furnished large walking all glass shower in the bathroom. Went to the restaurant to get something to eat and had some of the best food I have had in a long time. Dinner came with soup and I had chickpea soup that was excellent. The whole staff from chauffeur to front desk to restaurant we're extremely polite and accommodating. Would highly recommend this hotel for anybody that's in the area.

Easy to find from the airport, efficient check in and very nice accommodations. I was not able to eat there but did have an appetizer and wine at the lobby bar. Bartender was well versed in making a Sidecar and the food was very good. I would stay there again. I didn't realize it was utilized with the Community College as a training center. Many professionals are obviously employed there, it's very done.

We picked this place primarily from the reviews here and Yelp, I had a mixup at checkin but it was quickly resolved by front desk manager. It's actually a training hotel for those in the service industry and a rated hotel at that. The majority of people are in training for careers in the Hotel industry, This being said it offers a fully stocked premium bas with 2 for one drinks on everything. The rooms are a bit dated though thats a matter of opinion. I suggest an executive room which has much more room than the deluxe. If you want a bath make sure to book it and confirm as there are not many. The place is located about ten minutes away from downtown Cedar Rapids but much closer to the airport. I recommend a stay here if in the area, the restaurant has good meals, reasonably priced, there are no spas or pool here so if thats a must keep looking but overall we will come back if ever in this part of Iowa.

Best place to stay in Cedar Rapids area. Also one of the best restaurants. Hotel is on Kirkwood campus on the outskirts of town. It is very quiet because of this location and is close to the airport with shuttle service.

Lovely hotel in the middle of a community college! Lovely staff, great food and love the wine tasting at 5 PM each day. Prices are a little bit high for the region and there isn't a pool (yet ...), but otherwise, it is a gem!!

Really a cool modern upbeat hotel. I love the carpet in the hallways. The rooms are really really nice, spacious, modern furniture, neat bed headboard arrangement. The Class Act Restaurant has a great breakfast and some innovative dinner menus. This is the place to stay in CR.

I travel to Cedar Rapids on business frequently and have always stayed at the Marriot Cedar Rapids, which is not anywhere near up to par. I didn't think I had much of a choice -- but, I was wrong. I attended a meeting at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center and loved the property. It is pretty, well appointed, modern, clean and comfortable. The staff -- many of whom are hospitality students at Kirkwood College -- are caring and helpful. Plus, the food was really outstanding. I couldn't be happier that I found The Hotel -- I will stay here whenever I travel to Cedar Rapids.
