Decent hotel for price. Staff was great upon check-in

It has become my weekly spot to stay in Cedar Rapids

Staying here is definitely worth the price. The rooms are fairly cheap. The continental breakfast is good -- it's a decent spread of eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, cereal, coffee, milk, OJ, cranberry juice, apple juice, waffles, and probably a bunch of other stuff I didn't see. There was a stranger's hair in the tub, but I washed it down the drain. Pet fee is fifteen dollars, which is reasonable. There was a fridge and microwave in the room, which was perfect for heating up a drunk snack of leftover chicken fried steak skillet. There's a bar/restaurant at the hotel, which could use a makeover, but the food and drinks are reasonably priced. There's also a pool table. The hotel is very close to I-380. I would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable beds. Restaurant/bar staff went out of the way to assist us.

The breakfast was very good, the staff helpful and friendly.

Overall was good, liked jacuzzi in room, staff was courteous

The room was good -- clean, comfortable. The WiFi didn't reach to the end of the hall (where our room was), but there's a hardwire connection (via cable) so I could do all my email/internet stuff on the desk, just couldn't get comfy with my laptop on the bed. The hot tub was disappointing -- small, with a short 10-min timer for hte bubbles, and the water wasn't very warm (and the bubbles were actually cold. But the breakfast was fantastic -- probably the best I've seen among all the free hotel breakfasts of the world. Eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, and all the other usual carbohydrates. Good stuff.

The hotel was fine, ordinary but clean. The pool and hot tub were a plus, as were the bar and restaurant on site. However, the hotel advertised a free breakfast, which had also received good reviews on line. There is NO free breakfast. I would not have booked this hotel had I known this. There are several other hotels in that area that were available. For the price paid the hotel should have honored that advertisement.

Asked for non-smoking room. Put on a smoking floorthat REEKED of smoke the moment we stepped off the elevator. Not only that but we were put in a smoking room despite our request. I went to front desk and was told no non smoking rooms available. They told us we could have a ozone machine. About 40 minutes later a hotel employee came to our roomwith a spray bottle NOT an ozone machine. Seems they only have one for the entire hotel and it was not available. I feel we paid for something we did not receive!!! Our confirmation from [...]specifically stated non- smoking. I want a full refund. I would not recommend this hotel.

Overall we were pleased with the hotel. It has a heated indoor pool and spa that are open until midnight. Our room was nothing spectacular, but was clean and well kept. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is good size and probably use to be a very nice hotel 20 years ago. The hotel is a bit dated but still is well worth the money. The beds were comfortable, nice pillows and sheets. The customer service was top notch! The breakfast was decent but nothing special.

The hotel is in a good location and in its day probably was outstanding. Otherwise everything was satisfactory. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

friendly & helpful staff -registration, porter, shuttle service to airport great breakfast

I have stayed at most of the hotels in the area, and it's better than the rest of the area hotels. It has the most to offer with night life, as well as pool and gym, and breakfast. Well worth the price!!!!

Was in town for a wedding in Iowa City during the weekend. Most rooms were booked in Iowa City due to a commencement in mid-May so I choose this hotel. Less than 10 minute drive from the CID airport. About a half hour drive to Iowa City. Many of the Cedar Rapids attractions were still in repair after the floods from 2008. Cedar Rapids Museum of Art only had two rooms opened but there will be more exhibits within the next few months. Pleasant personnel, [...], directed me to a Marion Arts Festival. Very nice festival. The National Czech and Slovak Museum was closed.

2nd best of our short trip

This is my first experience at a Clarion Hotel. There are many hotels in the same area as well as fast food restaurants. It is located very close to major and minor highways so it is exceptionally well located.Shopping is 5-10 miles away depending on what you want. I enjoyed the entire stay here. Very good value for the price paid. I am returning later this month

The Clarion was a great place to stay if you are wanting to go see the Timberwolves or the Viking. The bar and the Breakfast buffet were both very nice.

The staff were all very friendly. The lobby area was inviting and clean. The pool area was nice, but the entrance to the pool was old, paint was peeling. Rooms were nice, but smoking and non smoking rooms were on same floor, so hallways smelled of smoke. Otherwise, I would stay there again.
