Down town location

My wife and I were very pleased with our two night stay there. Very clean and the staff were very accommodating. And the room rate was half of other high end lodging establishments in the city.

good location helpful staff, loud neighbors not the hotels fault

El Rey is in a perfect location, but the placement of my room was unfortunately sharing a wall with the breakfast room, which meant I was woken around 4am with the setup of the space reverberating through the walls.

Upgraded to a suite, which we appreciated. Older 60s or 70s construction with nicely renovated room. The living room which was door separated like a real suite should be, was spartanly furnished more waiting room than living room

We were pleasantly surprised to have a second bedroom when we stayed with the kids. The beds were comfortable, with the exception of the sofa bed. It is horribly uncomfortable and is angled so that your head is lower than your feet. New mattresses would go a long way there. The breakfast was great. The kids liked the pool, but there is no hot tub.

Nice, clean hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too.

I didn't realize that I was getting a "economy" room that was smaller than the normal room. Also, no fridge or microwave in these rooms. Finally, there was no place to place soap or shampoo in the shower (no soap dish or shower caddy. Had to place both on the floor of the shower.

Within walking distance (3 blocks) to the Utah Shakespeare festival. Rooms have outdoor terraces with tables and chairs. Would definitely stay here again. Continental breakfast is very basic.

There was some dog poop by pool mentioned to grave yard they did not care because it was still there when I left in morning. Pets should not be allowed. Overall hotel was good.

Off the beaten track.Overpriced, breakfast marginal and cold.

Nice staff. Our room was non smoking but smelled like smoke. I went to the gym in the morning which was small, but alright for a hotel gym. Pretty decent breakfast- basic hard boiled eggs, toast, cereal, waffles. I wouldn’t stay here more than one night, just for passing through town.

Very kind to upgrade us to the suite. She wanted a hot tub and the jacuzzi fill the bill nicely. Thank you

We were in Cedar City for Shakespeare plays and thie El Rey is w/in a short walk from theaters and good restaurants. Conditions were fine and staff is excellent.

Stayed her to visit family in the area. Well-kept facility, very nice lobby, good breakfast (better than expected). Room was somewhat on the small side, but functional and comfortable. Unfortunately, the climate control system is single-pipe, and was in heat mode due to the time of year, so the room was too warm at night - opening the window to cool the room wasn't feasible, as that would let in road noise. There's a gas station directly across the street. Very friendly staff. Good place, great location, excellent value (but note that this is not peak season for this area of Utah). All-in-all, we'd probably stay here again.

Thank you for your comments. Our grave shift usually starts breakfast prep at 6 AM. We will speak with them about being quieter when preparing the breakfast. We understand that it is important to keep the noise down. Especially when it comes to the rooms near the breakfast room. We appreciate your business and want it to be a good one.

Thank you for your rating and comments. We appreciate your feedback. We apologize for the sofa mattress. They are famous for being a bit uncomfortable. We will address it with management. We are not sure if you were informed, but our sister property, Stratford Court, has a hot tub. You are more than welcome to use it in the future. Thank you for choosing us for your lodging needs.
