The hotel's host of recreational offerings ensures you have plenty to do during your stay. Superb facilities and an excellent location make the San Remigio Beach Club Hotel the perfect base from which to enjoy your stay in Cebu.
We had an ocular inspection for our upcoming clan reunion at that time. There was a beach, a swimming pool (with a slide), playground, a gaming area. It is like everything is there within your reach. There are various rooms to choose from. There is a main dining hall for different occasions.
I'm very practical on my expectations when it comes to resorts outside of Cebu city . I don't expect much , however this place met Zero expectations . First of all rooms are infested with mosquitos , the shower drips with watter , litterally . The restaurant service is horrible . One hour wait for egss and ham ( 3 days straight ) . We were told we can check in for the 5 days we needed to stay but was asked to leave the following day because of over booking . Staff is friendly however they move without any sense of urgency as if they're the ones are on vacation and not the guest . Jet skis were offered at the billboard but turns out they didnt have any , 1000 pesos for 15 min of use is probably the reason why they didnt have any available . Bottom line is STAY AWAY from this place .
My family and I came here for the weekend. This resort is very concealed from the bustling city. The property is big. All the staff were very nice and accommodating. There were 14 of us in the group (age ranged from 3 months to 73 years old). We stayed at their hostel like room that had 7 full size beds. The room was spacious. The beds were comfy. There were 2 shower areas and toilet inside the room. There were also additional restrooms by the banquet hall. The AC was working well. But I guess to ensure that we will be satisfied during our stay, one of the staff brought us a stand fan. The resort has a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The resort also has a beach. The beach had too much seaweeds though. And since I dislike the feeling of seaweeds touching my feet I opted to stay at the pool area. The resort also has basketball courts. There's also a hangout area where guest can have a perfect view of the sunset. It got so dark at night though. If you are planning to stay here, flashlights will come handy. Instead of going to the restaurant to have dinner, we chose to order food and have them delivered to our room so that my 73-year-old grandparents wouldn't have to walk in the dark. The kitchen staff brought the food to our room in no time. The food was great! The resort is also very quite and serene. We were very satisfied!
Me and my son Ethan had an overnight stay here and from the owner upto their staff and crew were very warm and hospitable in making their guest feel at home. Their facilities were great and they offer a wide array of activities. Their food was superb that even my son was very satisfied with it. Pools are at best according to Ethan and during our stay he never failed to missed using it for our 2 day stay. Looking forward for their upcoming additional facilities which i think an ideal venue for corporate team building! A good site for those who are into diving as they also offer basic diving and bringing to wide array of dive sites. I also enjoy having a morning run as i heard that this area is a frequent venue for triathlon events. Till my next visit and this time with the whole family.👍👍👍
It was in 2012 when we first stayed at this place. It was too dark at night and we had to use flash lights from the karaoke area going to our room. When we visited last March, there was no noticeable improvement but the place was still good. The sand may not be as white as those in Sta. Fe but when sunlight strikes, it offers good camera captures. The seafood we ordered was delicious.
Our bathroom did not have a single hook or place to gang towels. The bathtub did not have a shower curtain or grab rails. The hardware on the sink needs alignment, and we had to ask for a drinking glass. It has no TV or wifi in the room. On the plus side, the AC worked well and the room is spacious. The restaurant facility is barely passable. Bring mosquito deterrent inside the restaurant because they bite.
The San Remigio Beach Club is a hidden gem tucked away on the Western shores of Cebu Island about 10km south of San Remigio proper. It is a little difficult to find but it is worth it. The property is VERY clean, even by Western standards. Most things were in excellent condition. Apparently they renovated after Yolanda. The beach has the same problem that all beaches seem to have in this area. There is an abundance of seaweed that grows and it's kind of gross to walk through. You never know what might be lurking in there, like broken glass. The swimming pool on the other hand is first notch. Nothing negative to say about it all. They have a nice bar right there poolside as well. We had a peek at the rooms and they appear to be well maintained and spacious. I would recommend if you are looking for an adventurous weekend. They also offer excursions. We did not avail to them, but they seemed like a lot of fun. Highly recommend. Probably the nicest place in the area.
I shared a large room with 3 others and slept on a mattress on the floor. The room wasn't the cleanest with ants roaming around freely. The toilet and shower facilities were close together and ants were still running around from outside. Nonetheless, I managed to get some rest. The beach, however, was beautiful at sunset. We walked the shore up to knee height and caught sight of sea urchins, fish and even the setting sun. Some locals were surfboarding and fishing. Facilities wise, don't expect much and the convenience store is expensive and not the best stocked.
We traveled with 2 young kids from the city to this hotel thinking it was a very good place to enjoy Cebu. We could have just stayed in the hotel in the city rather than taking a 4-5hour drive trip. Almost everything is disappointing. Food is very expensive, they don't have a free shuttle to their town which has restaurants. The cost of shuttle is very unreasonable. Though the kids enjoyed their pool, we can't stay long in the room because it is not comfortable. The beach is nice though but the kids didn't enjoy it. The staff were willing to do their best to make us feel comfortable but maybe resources are just very limited. We wouldn't dare to come back. We stayed for 2nights and really the trip is not worth.
