Wonderful staff. Great location. The building is old and not much gets invested into the rooms. The lobby, buffet, etc are all great.

I don't know for sure but I think there may be mold or something in the room making me sick. I felt better whenever I was out of the hotel but felt nauseous and puked when in the room. My girlfriend was sick too so either we both caught the same thing or were exposed to the same thing. I didn't make the connection until the end of my stay and of course I have no proof and I may be totally wrong. The staff is amazing of course which is the norm in the Philippines (abundance of cheap/friendly labor). I got two massages while in the hotel and the first was an older lady who was amazing. The second was much younger and not as good. I would not recommend this hotel.

I was traveling on my birthday and stayed at the Marriott in Cebu by Ayala Mall. The clerk at the front desk noticed it was my birthday when checking my identification. After relaxing in my hotel room for a while, I heard a knock at the door. It was a member of the hotel staff with a chocolate birthday cake for me with a lighted candle. I couldn't believe this and it was totally unexpected. What great service! Thanks to the Marriott for making my stay very pleasant.

We really enjoyed our stay there, free wifi in the room a plus!!! Great room service and serving sizes was more than adequate. We will stay there again.

I stayed at the hotel for a week and was pleased with the service of the staff. My room was cleaned promptly and well. The food was great. The hotel is near Ayala shopping center and many restaurants. I recommend the hotel and will stay again.

The location is great. Just couple of steps and you're in Ayala mall. Very professional staff, well trained. The bed was not so comfy though the pillows were fine.

I chose this hotel because it was a global brand- Marriott. We were so disappointed with the food in the restaurants and the bar- from the breakfast, etc. The food they serve just looked "sad." It did not look fresh or appealing. The worst part is that the plate I got from the stack used for the buffet service - even had rice glued to it. The plate was supposed to have been washed...I dont know how and why there was still rice on the breakfast buffet plates. We stayed in a business suite - that was supposed to be non-smoking - but the hallway and the room wreaked. Housekeeping service was good. The housekeeping staff were courteous and did their jobs well - or as best as they could considering what they have to work with - smelly rooms. The front desk staff need training. After three days, at the check out - the supervisor even asked me how many guests checked in at our room. I could not believe a supervisor will ask that question at check out time. We booked for 2 rooms for our family. So the pain was worse. The only good thing about this hotel - was the security. All entrances are well guarded- even surpassing those hotels in Manila. This hotel is good if you want to be near the shops and city restaurants in Cebu. We would have gone mental if not for the superb restaurants in the nearby Ayala mall. BTW - our family visited Shangrila and Marco Polo for lunch and dinner. And all I can say - we definitely know where we wont be staying the next time we are in Cebu. The management of this hotel needs to lift their game.

We had two bookings and this review is from the guest of the other room I booked for our trip.... Rooms and hallways are wreak of cigar smell. You can always go to the restaurants for your meals as the food in the hotel is not really great. Internet is free and has good speed. Staff is courteous and try to help you all the time. I dont think we will be staying at the Marriott in Cebu again though.

This was an extremely safe hotel and I will definitely be back

overall experience was very good...but a hotel with these room rates should supply free internet service as do other hotels in this class...and the internet they have is very slow...an upgrade is in order...

Good location , right next to mall within walking distance

This was a nice hotel in a good location. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. Staff was courteous and friendly. The location was great due to Ayala Mall next door. The mall basically extended the facilities of the hotel like scenic walking, restaurants, grabbing a cup of coffee / beer with plenty of people passing by. The price was not bad but after seeing the country and economy, it can be considered a little high. The internet was expensive. Most places will provide the internet in the cost of the room. 24 hours ran over $20 USD, coincidentally you can buy dinner for two at TGI Fridays in the mall with all the beer you can drink for the same price. It was not a comparable value. 3.5 out of 5.0

The hotel is built to next to Ayala Mall. Beautiful rooms. Singer and, or a musician for entertainment at night in the hotel lobby. Temperature in room is adjustable. Beautiful views from the rooms. Extremely friendly and professional staff. Opulent building.

we had alot of fun but the prices for can cokes was way too expensive. I had to pay P280 for 2 cokes there in hotel

Very nice , except they have a problem with billing, I extended my room and the it took 3 times before it went through, If i get triple charged I wont like that, Something about credit/debit card and the staff doesnt understand, other than that hope i get my points, havent seen anything from the hotel on that, plan on returning in June August and Sept,

This was my second visit to the Cebu City Marriott in two years. Hotel is well situated for business purposes, but the beds are in desperate need of new mattresses. Food is excellent and a bargain even for Cebu and for hotel food. The buffets are incredible, both dining room and poolside. Security is a bit annoying and overdoing it, but none-the-less you do feel secure in the hotel. I understand that the hotel is going to be renovated this summer and the beds will be changed.
