Chateau by the Sea did not disappoint. When I first arrived I had an issue with my shower but they fixed it right away for me. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the view and meals were wonderful. They were so accommodating and kind I wouldn't hesitate to return. The breakfast was as amazing as the view, I really enjoyed their pool and the beach is really nice. They also were very friendly and kind to some guests that visited me there, I recommend this place highly.
I loved everything about this place, amazing Service, beautiful scenery, excellent food. The manager is incredible and went above and beyond for me. I couldn't recommend this place any higher, it was the perfect stay!
Like: Small, cozy, very friendly staff. Dislike: Not much of a beach to swim at.
Excellent small hotel ! Huge rooms, very friendly staff and great getaway “home away from home “ . Very good free breakfast. Place is in Punta Engano next to all high end resorts. Food choices from their kitchen is limited and priced for foreigners. But place is very close to Mactan Newtown where you have excellent cheap choices for lunch and dinner. I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Definitely will be going back!
The nice thing about the room was its huge size. Lamentably, there were some ants on the coffee tray, a couple of dead cockroaches behind the toilet, and women's hair pins in a drawer. The bed was comfortable. There was some construction going on so the main pool was closed off. The other pool was nice, as was the small stretch of private beach. WiFi worked reasonably well in the evening. Internet access was completely unavailable the next morning and still so when we checked out around noon. Breakfast was very modest. The location is not exciting, some travel is needed for restaurants and shops.
Lovely location but they need to fix their water pressure and hot water situation some days. We stayed for five days . Also allow use of kayak out into the open water not just the restricted swimming area. What’s the point if one cannot explore the coast line .
