This was the nicest place that we stayed in our two-week tour of Sicily. To wake up in the morning, open the shutters and see Mt. Etna erupting was beautiful. The peaceful surroundings of the working orchard were a beautiful place to take a stroll in the morning. We ate at the hotel restaurant two nights in a row and were extremely happy with our meals both nights. I actually ordered pistaccio pesto both nights as it was the best dish!!! We actually purchased a few jars to take home and share with friends and family. It was too cool to swim, but the pool looked inviting. The WiFi was spotty, but it got the job done. Front desk staff was helpful and very friendly.
We travelled to Sicily for two weeks. We could see Mount Etna from out hotel room smoking away it was a lovely view, we then decided to go and see it properly. we paid £55 for two of us to travel in the cable car up to a certain point, we got dumped what looked like the moon and walked around a climbed a bit of hill. but where the cable car lets you out you can't see the top of Etna or the smoke billowing out. the view was so hazy you can't see it so again waste of time. we could have paid another £33 each to take the jeep to the top but we declined this as wasn't sure what more we could see. if you Google map to the Donkey trekking Etna, it will take through lovely villages with beautiful churches and cafes and finally you reach very near to the top of Etna near what looks like ski chalets but are in fact little shops. one of the shops a photographer was very willing to show us his photos and video's of Etna erupting he had taking whilst hiking up to the top. very brave of him. do not waste your money but make your own way up to see it. fantastic view of it. We stayed here for two weeks. the location is a bit remote and with not much going on in the village below you definitely need a car. the hotel itself was perfect, set in a plantation right next to Mount Etna. It was peaceful and the swimming pool which you were allowed to swim in until 12pm was an added bonus as it was 30 degrees still in the evening, the breakfast was lovely and fresh every day and the restaurant staff were fantastic and friendly as were all the receptionists and the managers. they made you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. My other half hired a bike and rode about 30 miles again the hotel provided this for 5 euros for half a day. he did have a puncture on the way back but not their fault lol. We ate in the restaurant but found it a tad expensive to be honest but food was ok. The pool area and hotel was spotless and the rooms were cleaned every day and were comfortable, air con and the safe were free. I would recommend this hotel to more couples and families maybe with younger children, but as I said a car is needed and not much to do in the evening around the area, the teenagers in the hotel were a bit bored. Naxos beach area is about 15 mins drive and a lot more is happening there and lots of restaurants. Taormina is amazing and about 30 mins away, park in the car park and get the free yellow bus up to the top. You can go higher to Castelmola but a blue bus is required for this and costs 3 eurs return. You can find the bus at the bus station round the corner where the yellow bus drops you off. Hope this helps everyone out.
Located a bit hidden just outside the village lies this great accomodation. Staff is very friendly, rooms just as they should be and the pool and sunbeds are very relaxing! Breakfast was very good as well as the à la carte diner in the evening! If you want to go for a daytrip, you should be prepared to drive at least half an hour to an hour to reach points of interest. Overall a very good hotel/agriturismo!
Great hotel with the most beautiful view of Etna. It's really quiet there and every morning we woke up to the scent of flowers and sound of birds. It's not a city hotel. It's located at a plantation but that only adds to the charm. The rooms are not that fancy but they are comfortable and the bed was great. Staff is always friendly, smiley and helpful. Breakfast was included but nothing special.
We had booked a set menu which turned out to exceed our expectations. Staff was very wecloming and helpful and accomodating. Food was very genuinely prepared and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Lunch was consumed by the edge of a swimming pool area in a dining area. Sicily is very well known for it citrus products. Lemons and oranges are their best frontliners. This Agriturismo have a wide area of land where they cultivate lemons , oranges and other agricultural products and flowers. The surrounding scenery is relaxing with its quietness and greenery. Part of the surroundings include Mount Etna.
Stayed here last week for 7 days. Staff were really friendly & helpful. Room was clean, we had a view of Moubt Etna. Food is good, not a huge choice but enough. Breakfast was good. Quiet location short distance from town. Good location for the sights to see in this area. Easy access to autostrada. No restaurants nearby so ate in the hotel or we went to Lidl and bought cheese, meats and wine, got glasses and plates from hotel & sat on the balcony for antipasti. Here for Valentines & the chef put on a special meal which was amazing, the girls made a lovely effort decorating the room by the pool with balloons & candles etc. Couldn't fault our stay here.
Nice and the rooms are clean . Near Taormina and enta.good breakfast and friendly staff.the restaurant did not a variety.we when several times and we will go again cause you can visit many cities .the new year eve was amazing with great food and music
We stayed in this hotel last week and could not fault it. Also the evening meals were very good and had fresh fish specials some nights. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We could not fault this place.
Under the bed we found broken biscuits. Poor food, sent 2 mains back, only 1 not charged for, food was not what we hoped for. Young staff, most just going by rote without much interest. We had looked forward to stopping here, something just didn't feel right about the place. Dog barking all night in the silence. Would give this place a miss if there is a next time. La Terra dei Sogni has everything but does not deliver. Great view of Etna from our terrace. Very handy for visiting Taormina
We stayed there for 5 days. This wasn't the first time going there but I think we are going to skip this hotel next time we visit Sicily. The pool needs to be arranged....tiles falling apart!! It seems that the cook in the restaurant cooks the meals depending on the ingredients left on the day! One day you get a plate full of food the next day you get almost an empty plate! The best thing you find is the surrounding although I'm sure we'll find other places as nice as la Terra dei sogni.
