I have enjoyed the stay. It was perfectly located in the center of Casablanca. I have also visited a nice eye wear shop in the corner. Optical in had a good service and perfect pricing compared to Europe
I was at there around 3 weeks ago. At Restaurant part, Stuffs were very helpful. But at first day even I but the sign of "please do not disturb", housekeeper entered my room. And really, hotel was sooooo grey and dark. and one more; elevator was very comlicated. Sometimes it didnt work.
We had a perfect stay at the hotel. It is very conveniently located. It was at a walking from a very nice optical store opticalin. The staff were great and helpful. I will definitely book once back in Casablanca
1. After a late arrival I discovered that my room was devoid of bottled water. 2. The Wi-Fi didn't work for the first night. I had to wait for an engineer to come out the next day. 3. The breakfast choice was very limited 4. The hotel is furnished with dark draping curtains. This creates a strange gothic atmosphere. 5. The bathroom design is very odd meaning there is nowhere to put items beside the basin 6. The room had a slight chemical smell. Possibly the cleaning fluids for the bedding 7. Each time I left my room I had to check my room card would work before going out as it inevitably wouldn't let me back in again and had to be reset 8. The office staff are rarely seen on reception
The hotel was difficult to find as many street signs are only up in Arabic. The large room had a corner kitchen with no equipment.the bedroom was comfortable and had a small balcony The lighting was very poor and wifi was near impossible to obtain. Breakfast as an extra was expensive. We ate out at a fraction of the cost.
Really nice hotel, staff on the restaurant really helpful and nice, couldn't be any better, all clean, fresh food.. But i have to say that was no many variety on the breakfast buffet. Didn't notice any smell, apart of having people smoking while we were having our breakfast...
Stayed here for a work trip after a tip off from colleagues that have stayed previously and have to say other than the room size was quite disappointed. Rooms are suites and have to say are a very good size with separate living room. Windows didn't block out any sound however and I could hear all noises in the street. Rain shower was great when the catch locked (happened on both rooms I had during the stay) and kitchen facilities Id imagine would be useful if used. Gym was a let down after I managed to find the dark corridor up the stairs, I almost fell over ladders, paint pots etc that have been left there with no signage. Then the gym itself was in total darkness and fumbling around for the light prob wasn't the best - only to find that 1/3 of the room was illuminated. It served its purpose - Just - but don't go expecting a brill workout! Colleague had said we would meet in the bar - trouble is the hotel has clearly changed management and there is no bar anymore. Don't think this is right for a business orientated hotel, not even anything in the minibar so the frustration of having to go out after long flights tainted things. Breakfast also was a let down. Items running out, nothing being replenished and staff popping out from the curtains to take items when as a guest I had nothing left to choose from did feel a tad bizarre. Also find the staff in the hotel somewhat abrupt and rude to customers which was off-putting. Colleagues have stayed here previously had noted a big change and for my first time I wasn't overly impressed other than the room which was great. Depends what you are looking for really. Would I stay again - probably not as facilities for business travellers are not really up to standard. Shame as I have heard great things in the past but think the change in management have had detrimental effect.
I had a nice stay in this beautiful Gray boutique hotel and spa for one night. Staffs were so professional that I did not find any problem. Room was spacious and well decorated. Service by the staffs were praiseworthy. Food was delicious and palatable. I recommend all to stay there and get their superb service
Didn't notice any 'disguised' smells mentioned in other reviews - requested a non smoking room and it appeared to be although there was a prominently placed ashtray! Very friendly, helpful informative staff - great suite, clean and comfy, fridge an asset and coffee and tea great, dinner plate and knife and fork a little incongruous? Suppose it could be for one persons take out pizza/curry! Easy walk to the Hassam Mosque and the Old Medina.
Pros: Bed Rooms very big - we had a suite so had two toilets, bedroom separate from living room and a balcony Staff helpful but a bit abrupt Good Spa Decor - dark and moody but done nicely Comfy beds Surrounding area was nice with a fresh fruit market one minute walk away Good bathroom and showers Cons: Outdated - Room was clean however you feel that the hotel needs a good bleach and wash down and a general refresh - i.e lifts were dirty, door a bit grubby. Some of items in room needed replacing - small things like a rusty dustbin Faint odour of smoke throughout Bed sheets were very bobbly and rough - needed replacing - have been through the wash too many times Overall a good choice for a base to explore Casablanca
