It was very nice
The cold water tap in the bathroom sink did not work. I had to brush my teeth with hot water. The reading light on the bed did not work. Two of the three elevators were not working. The hotel is close to Meymandi hall for the symphony. It is also a few blocks from nice dining. It also has a restaurant on the premises and a nice cafe for morning coffee and pastries.
Overall a good experience. However, the property is dated and is in need of a refresh. The staff was incredibly friendly. That makes all the difference for someone who travels as much as I do.
Nice, helpful staff; close to numerous restaurants
The room was very comfortable. Jimmy Vs is right in the hotel. For breakfast there is a little cafe in the lobby or you can have a full breakfast at Jimmy Vs. The hotel is within walking distance of the Performing Arts Center.
I expected a Sheraton hotel to have a better facility. The air conditioner was poorly working. Sliding broken. However, I would go again only to be served by Fifi and Luis in the restaurant.
Elevators were the worst, one time had to wait 20min just to get to the room. Good luck getting one to go down! Room had clear water damage also.
Perfect location for International Bluegrass Music Award Festival.
Great location in downtown Raleigh. Just a few minutes walk from Duke Energy Performing Arts Center for the show we attended. Located on Fayetteville St for the Sunday food trucks. Check-in area is a little tight if driving, but once you get a parking pass, the parking garage is directly across the street. Good drink selection at Jimmy V’s on the hotel property…plenty of food & drink options within walking distance.
Liked the housekeeping crew and the front desk crew, they were very helpful when I needed something. I liked the variety of gym equipment. The location of the hotel is great, it was in walking distance to most of the place we went.
Parking was difficult to find and unsafe. My car was broken into. A floor tile was loose in my room. The coffee shop was closed most mornings and the coffee servive in my room was not stocked. Dirty soap left in my bathroom. The bed was comfortable.
Loved being in the middle of the Bluegrass festival. Im not used to the guest rooms not being attended to daily. Nearly ran out of toilet paper and trash can overflowed. Fan filter in bathroom clogged with dust.
The property was old. Room was outdated. Need to modernize the facility. Staff were very polite and courteous.
I have just stayed in a budget hotel that had nicer rooms. At 5:00 pm my King room was not ready. THey offered a Queen.
A delightful stay in the middle of downtown but far less than the competitors...
Room wasn’t serviced for the 3 days I was there—no towels, toilet paper.
The hotel is worn down and dated. The room was around 91 degrees upon arrival. The thermostat did not work. Several calls to the front desk produced no help that evening. We had to sleep with the door to the hallway open and the room temp never went below 90. In the morning the front desk could not have cared less that we had problems. The hotel is too big for the inexperienced staff they have. I will stick with Hampton Inn. They know how to take care of a problem.
