Wyndham Garden Carson City Max Casino

This Wyndham Garden at Carson City has a Casino on the first floor, and there is no way to avoid it. There is a strong smell in the hallway and the room.

As with most casinos, very smokey. Hotel and guest rooms are in need of refurbishing but they are clean.

Asked for a quiet room and was told that rooms facing the street were actually quieter. We said that would be fine and we were given a room on the second floor facing an immense dish device with a fenced in balcony area with no view of anything except the large dish device. Upon leaving, we checked the room across the hall and it had a great view of the mountains and faced the street, the room we were suppose to have. They stressed three times that we could not smoke in the room or the balcony, even though we never mentioned that we don't smoke. If you stay in this hotel, don't get any rooms on the second floor!

This was the worst hotel EVER> From the staff, to the cleanliness. It was a terrible hotel. Infact, it was so bad I demanded my money back and left the hotel. We drove all the way back to Reno and stayed at a real hotel that cares about its establishment. I expected so much more based upon the name of the hotel chain but... NO. It was a disaster

Room was clean. Hotel restaurant very good. Casino pleasant to be in

The room was nice with a separate livingroom. Not exceptionally fancy, but very useful. Staff were helpful and friendly. As worth all hotel based casinos there is the pervasive smell of cigarette smoke. Restaurant leaves quite a bit too be desired. Food was very mediocre. Waitress was very nice.

The price was okay, but keep your expectations in check. The staff was all very nice and accommodating. This hotel simply suffers from an old facility that has not been updated - ever. It's shabby, about on par with a Motel 6. - The sliding glass door leaks. There is a 15-20mph wind going outside right now and I can see the curtains waving in the breeze. The door is closed. It's freezing in here. - There is only a thin blanket, no comforter. Again, I'm freezing. I'm normally overheating when I sleep, so I don't run the heater because it dries out my sinuses. So....cold.... I even pulled down the extra thin blanket they provide in the "closet"... - The tub creaks, groans and sags when you step into it or move around during your shower. I was literally afraid it was about to fall through the floor. - The front of the building, the casino, the hallways, the rooms - the decor is run down and gross. This is where 70s Vegas came to die. - Walls are extremely thin. The first night, my neighbor (btw you will share a door between your room and your neighbor) was on his phone on speaker and I could hear both him AND the woman on the phone clearly through the wall. Bring earplugs and an eyemask if you want to get any sleep here. Light leaks through under the door too. - The restaurant was on par with a Denny's. Had a burger there the first night, but I was so tired I could have eaten cardboard and it would have been fine. Nothing "wow" but passable. Staff was great - very friendly. You're better off going the extra 20 mins to Reno. I would not come back.

I did not like the hotel because they said that the rest would be open till midnight and then they shut at 10 pm. I got there at 9.50pm and they refused to served me. I had a few drinks at the casiino and spent in upward of 500 at their casino and they still did not give me any concession. As I was unable to drive I had to sleep without eating that night. I would definately not recommend the hotel.

We usually have a great room, stay. This time we received the worst room with an old heater that ran all the time, couldn't control the temp, the bed was horrible (didn't sleep well), and the window was a big electrical power plant. We did bring to the attention at the front desk and they gladly changed our room. So we were happy after that. It had a good controllable heater and the window out was to the street and mountains. the bed was comfortable.

Hotel is right in town and close to everything. The casino is small and the staff is very friendly. The video poker machines were lose and we WON!

This is the second time I have stayed here and this hotel has not disappointed, The rooms are clean, staff friendly, parking plentiful, restaurant has good food at great prices. From this location I have been able to walk all over the Capital neighborhood of Carson City, enjoy the Saturday Wine Walk, go to the casinos and cafe's in the area etc.

Hotel and rooms very clean, staff friendly. Restaurant very reasonable and food was good. Good location, many stores nearby to shop. Wish the casino had store to purchase souvenirs. Would definitely stay here again. We went to a wedding in Virginia City a good little town to visit when your in the Carson City, Tahoe area.

Pleasant room although we requested a smoking room several months in advance and none were reserved for our period of stay, so we took a non-smoking room, and used the outside patio which was somewhat inconvenient. Pillows (3) lacked support. Housekeeping was excellent and friendly. We plan on staying there again next year.

The hotel was a bit dated, however, it was clean, staff was friendly and attentive. The in- house resturant had good quality food at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend for business travelers as I have stayed at multiple locations in Carson City and for the price this hotel gives you the best bang for your buck.

Restaurant staff was awesome !! Front desk very helpfull. Only thing missing a pool and or hot tub.

Nice hotel little casino but not very noisy which is nice.

I was in Carson City to visit relatives and needed a place. Central location, quiet, clean room. Right next to Denneys for breakfast. Convenient clean and nice staff.

Casino needs improvement, stinky, smoky, but wasn't there for the casino. The rooms were a little dated, but clean and no bad smells. The price was half the other hotels. Beds were very good, decent TV. I will stay here again, like I said half the price of the other places and a good sleep.

This is a casino and hotel, so you have to walk threw the casino area to get to the elevators, and they allow smoking in the casino.

We stayed while travelling through to California one night. One of the better casinos in the lobby. They take security seriously as an altercation occurring with locals in the parking lot was dealt with immediately.

We are a hotel within a Casino in Nevada. I am sorry that you experienced such a strong smell, When we have rooms available we do try and move guests to higher floors away from the casino.
