Disappointing Experience at Fairmont El San Juan Rating: ★★☆☆☆ I recently stayed at Fairmont El San Juan and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the hotel boasts luxury and elegance, there were significant shortcomings that marred my stay. First and foremost, the pricing for the buffet-style breakfast was exorbitant. At $86.26, I expected a lavish spread of delectable options. However, the reality fell short of expectations. The quality and variety of the food simply did not justify the steep price tag. It's disheartening to feel like you're being taken advantage of as a guest. Additionally, the experience with the security guard was frustrating and off-putting. Despite providing my room number, I was repeatedly harassed for it throughout my stay. This lack of organization and communication reflects poorly on the hotel's management. Guests should not feel like they are under scrutiny every time they enter or exit the premises. Moreover, the issue speaks to a larger problem with the hotel's service. There seems to be a lack of coordination in ensuring that staff members are aware of who the guests are. This oversight detracts from the overall guest experience and leaves patrons feeling undervalued. In conclusion, my stay at Fairmont El San Juan fell short of expectations. While the hotel boasts grandeur and sophistication, the inflated prices and subpar service left me feeling disappointed. For the amount I paid, I expected a much higher services

It is pricey but had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is very close to the airport and there are a lot of little (cheaper) restaurants outside the property that are walkable. The food every where was bland sadly. The pool area is large and there were plenty of pool chairs available. There is a private beach as well. The lobby/casino gets very cold in the evening so bring layers. The casino bar is much cheaper for drinks. They also have live entertainment nightly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly. It was about a 20-30 min Uber to old San Juan and it was very easy to get Ubers from the hotel. All in all great stay for our baby moon. We went in mid February so not many children around and it wasn’t very busy.

Staff service was below average, the meals were average but very high in costs. We won't be returning.

We had the best time. Will definitely come back.

No mini bar, no water bottle, no hair dryer

Great property, but starting to show its age. The public spaces are great. Elevated. Beautiful. Swanky. Well maintained. The rooms while large and comfortable look a bit worn down. Chips in the closet and dressers. Poor lighting in the bathroom. They need a proper refresh and perhaps a fresh coat of paint. But I had a great visit and would return. I have high expectations of a Fairmont property.

Good overall experience just a few things, the room smelled a little musty, I did not receive any regular wash rags, only mid sized towels, coffee machine didn't work never received a new one,

I love everything about this place! My family and I are definitely coming back!

Great resort. Live music every night in the lobby. Beautiful lobby with wood walls and wood ceilings. Four bars in the lobby. Nice Casino next to the lobby. Super nice pools. Amazing rooms. Loved it, can't wait to go back!

had a closet for a room. staff was nice. very impressive lobby. no maintainence of the beach. pool area messy. only a 1 night stay
