The lodge was ok for the price especially since you can't really find any "amazing" hotels in Tortugero. Staff was great. Make sure to arrive during daylight. Also, flashlight and insect repellent a plus!
The Good: Right on the water with it'a own docks to take water taxis and tours. Beautiful location. The Bad: - Everything seemed run down. - No A/C (an important preference for me) - Staff undertrained and not very professional - we ordered a few drinks while waiting for a water taxi and the bartender started talking in front of us in Spanish to a coworker on if he really had to make the drinks since we were waiting for the taxi. He obviously missed out on the brown skin present and that half of us speak Spanish. We made sure to point that out. - another bartender simply replied "No" and turned around when I asked for a particular drink. I finally found out a bit later they were out of the ingredients for it. Overall won't be recommending this place.
