Very disappointed by Casa Moabi, especially after all of the great reviews. The main "house" area where there are about 4 rooms including the one we stayed in, were run down looking. There is AC but it only works when you literally lock all of the windows shut, making it feel like a jail cell with no natural light whatsoever. The bathroom had a toilet disinfectant cake, which made both the bathroom and bedroom area smell horrid (even if you closed the bathroom door). The bed was ok, but not that comfortable. Breakfast was fine but you will be charged $5 a person. The area is pretty and cool that you can hear howler monkeys at night, but know you need a car to get anywhere like restaurants. There are plenty of other nice places in Puerto Viejo or Cocles that are the same price and nicer, I recommend skipping Casa Moabi in favor of those!
