This hotel made our Capri experience perfect. We had a room with a terrace with see view though we did not book or pay for it explicitly, the air conditioning worked perfectly as well as shower. But the absolute highlight was the breakfast buffet with fresh home made cake and Italian dolches, mini croissants, fresh pressed orange juice, several sorts of market-fresh cheese and ham and many many other delicious things. I have already recommended this hotel to everybody I know. The only downside to by honest is the Wifi which did not work perfectly but I think it is easy to fix.
We loved this hotel, great rooms, delicious breakfasts, great views from room balconies, and great hosts who really looked after their guests. The walk from hotel to waterfront and back again was just right for our daily exercise.
Absolute wonderful experience. I wish we would have stayed longer. From the breakfast, the room, the cleanliness, the location, everything was perfect. It is about 10-15 minutes walk from Capri but it is worth it to have a quiet place in a more local area. Grazie mille Alex :-)
We really enjoyed our stay at La Reginella. Alex is an excellent host and the breakfast is delicious, everything is home made and you can help your self to a wide selection of Salami's, cheeses, cakes, pasteries, breads, cereals, fruit and you can squeeze your own orange juice. Then you get to enjoy it outside with an incredible view of the coastline. The rooms are clean, they have air conditioning and the bed is comfortable. Alex the host gave us some incredible recommendations and is very knowledgeable and the island. Thank you Alex!
We stayed for 3 nights in room #15. Spacious, nicely decorated, clean bathroom, big terrace and great views. Alex is a lovely host, very helpful with tips. The breakfast was amazing, homemade cake, a variety of charcuterie and cheese, fresh orange juice etc. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the main square. We can highly recommend staying at La Reginella.
This small hotel is tucked away in a narrow lane above Capri Town. It is quite a walk - and no transport. The hotel was very helpful arranging baggage transfer between the ferry port and the hotel. Great breakfast on veranda with lovely views of the sea and overlooking the island. Room quite small but adequate and clean.
Spent an incredible 3 days on Capri the week before the last, made even better thanks to the hospitality and comforts of La Reginella Hotel. Once the first time visitor to Capri recognizes that bags can be sent to any hotel from the ferry dock in the Marina Grande for a very small fee, they'll appreciate the value -- and the views -- of staying at a hotel several minutes further up from all the larger and more expensive hotels that abut the Piazzetta of Capri town. La Reginella is no more than a 10 minute walk from Central and worth every step. Alex, the manager, has thought of everything to make his little airy -- I think there are only 9 or so rooms -- all with ensuite baths -- a home away from home. The gardens are incredible; the rooms small but supremely comfortable and the terraces are all out of this world. An unbroken view of the Marina Grande and the Bay of Naples from almost every vantage. And did I mention breakfast???? Wow, Sumptuous is the word that comes to mind. Fresh fruit, including freshly made orange juice, yogurt, eggs, cheeses of every kind, cold cuts and more. It could easily hold you over until dinner. In any case, it will give you enough energy to climb all the way and back from the Villas Lyris and Jovis, a good 45 minutes away. Meeting Alex is like meeting an older (or younger) sibling who really wants you to enjoy your visit to Capri and his hotel. He takes deserved pride in the property he has now been managing for nearly 2 years -- the former villa of an important Italian violinist who's picture and other artifacts hang in the main public room. And the view from the hotel's terrace -- romantic and exhilarating all at once -- can be enjoyed throughout the day and night. Truly a beautiful spot and a great small hotel.
This hotel is a little bit of a hike from the piazza but worth it to be so quiet away from the crowds. The gentleman who runs the hotel is amazing and so helpful. He'll send all the details on how to get to the hotel from the ferry. The view from room 24 is amazing, over the mountains and valley. Breakfast is one of the best continental's I've seen in the last 6 months of travels. The bathroom is good, shampoos and all amenities. Bed is wonderful and comfy, air conditioning and wifi work great. Highly recommend staying here.
We stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute of it! 3 nights was about the right time to explore the island thoroughly as well Alex was very accommodating from the initial booking, he provided us with in depth detail about getting to the hotel, advised us using the luggage porters (10 euros and would recommend as it is rather steep with steps and the funicular can get very busy) and ferry times/cost etc. When we arrived at the hotel (about 10 minutes slight uphill walk from the main square), he sat us down and gave us a map highlighting the good areas to explore, breakfast times and other relevant info before taking us to the room. The room was very spacious and clean with a very comfy bed, however the highlight was the terrace which overlooked the island! The room came with all the necessities including bottled waters, tea/coffee facilities and lovely lemon scented shampoo too. We had breakfast included with our stay and it included lots of fresh fruit and pastries (made our own freshly squeezed orange juice too), yoghurts, quiches, cereals, ham, eggs, cheese etc There was also a good spread of gluten free products as well. There was a terrace with sea view to enjoy breakfast on too! The location was very convenient for the walks around Capri and still close enough to pop into the piazza for some shopping! There is also a local supermarket close by for when we wanted to make packed lunch for our walks. I would highly recommend the restaurant above the hotel, which is reasonably priced, the food was absolutely delicious (very fresh produce used) and the waitress was very friendly. The price was a lot cheaper than the mainstream hotels by the port and piazza, however it still definitely matches up to a 4/5 * hotel in terms of cleanliness, quality of sleep and service.
We stayed here for 3 nights in room #11. Clean and neat room with private terrace surrounded with small lemon trees, lavender and rosemary. There's an extra sunbathing terrace as well. The breakfast is rich and the view from the breakfast-terrace is amazing. Alex is an excellent host. La Reginella is located in a quiet street in beautiful Matermania and is highly recommended.
