Its an average Hotel.Close to many restaurants . Average food,Average its just average. Nothing to write about really. If you looking for a short and affordable stay then it is right for you. The staff is friendly though.

The Hotel is well located in the Heart of Capetown, near Long Street, so good for Young & Old. We booked with breakfast, that was very good with fresh fruits and loads of different things, also english breakfast. The Rooftop is really nice if you wanna have a Cocktail with Mountain Table View. The Room we had was far too small and very smelly, but okay, we survived. But what is an absolut No Go is the following thing that happened. They Guy from the Reception ( Azaad ) told us he is going to get a good price for a rental car. A Guy came to the Hotel and brought us the car, whcih was like 15 years old, totally dirty and with an empty tank. We took it anyway because we wanted to start doing our Roadtrip. Luckily the car survived but when they came to pick it up at the hotel they didn't give us the money back. So we are still waiting for the deposit. The Hotel Staff told us to take care of it, which never happened. No One is ever getting back to us and it's march the 14th now. This happened in January. So all in all we left this Hotel very angry and disappointed. if you ever go here, do everything on your own, don't let the stuff take care of anything!

Our stay at the Cape Diamond Hotel was nothing short of Excellence. From the welcoming smiles of Asanda the beautiful reception lady, to the wonderful chats and recommendations from the GM Natalie Bezuidenhout - an absolute delight to have met her, our overall experience here was fulfilling and completely relaxed. The rooms were value for money, spacious, comfortable and very clean. With scrumptious take away breakfasts available if you have an early morning out, you are sure to find much more than you bargained for when you open your goodie bag. The hotel is situated ideally a stone throw away from all the amenities you will require during your holiday stay. So whether you are looking for night life, or taking a tour around Cpt, the proximity to all of this is definitely the Cape Diamond hotel. Was well worth my 5 star rating and cant wait to stay with them very soon in the near future. Thank you Cape Diamond Hotel and staff !! You guys are the epitome of service delivery and making your guests feel at home and on holiday. Much love Tina

Hotel is in a reallyGood location, friendly and helpful staff, was good value for money, clean, enjoyed the breakfast buffet, Rooftop area lovely for evening sundowner, definitely can recommend this hotel

The warm friendly staffing team make every effort possible to contribute to the overall feeling of a wonderful ambience. This continues into the open plan lobby/dining area which provides every comfort possible for the discerning traveller (even mobile charging points). Food is of excellent quality! The bedrooms are extremely comfortable from the cool white crisp linen, to the super quiet air conditioning, well laid out bathroom; rooms are also at great value pricing. All in all 10 out of 10 from us! See you again next time we’re in Cape Town 🤗 Colette & Shaughn (London)

We chose the Cape Diamond Restaurant for dinner. Our mains were not too bad but the receptionist and other staff that were there that evening made us really uncomfortable. They continued to stare at us and speak to each other and then start to laugh whilst staring at us. It made us really uneasy.

Microwaves should be provided in rooms if u want to warm stuff to eat at night. Dinner menu should be reviewed and more items added. Indian dishes should be added on. Staff at the breakfast great especially Meagan.

I had wonderful stay at Cape Diamond. The room provided was quite spacious to accommodate us as a couple and our 3 yr old daughter.Breakfast was great. The hotel location is superb for some who would want to mix tours and shopping.

Two nights of bliss, the best nights’ rests I had in all of 2017, without exaggeration. I am one of the 2% of the population who works through the night, go to bed just before sunrise only to rise early. Well, at Cape Diamond Hotel, I overslept twice. Being up on The Rooftop at 6am is magic, to experience the silence of a city yet to awake. One can drink in the fresh air, see Table Mountain waking up to the morning sun. A hot shower in a spacious bathroom with beautiful stone floors. Sipping coffee on the balcony, or watching the morning news on satellite television. Our bed was of high quality and very comfortable – I was semi-crippled for 22 years due to an injury of the spine. As such, I am adamant about sleeping on a good bed. You saw that I had overslept twice. Of consummate quality is the bed linen, someone in the hotel did a really great job in sourcing the right furniture and other amenities. Tea and coffee in the room once again were of upmarket quality. Building-wide WiFi was consistent and reliable; there are ample charging points in the dining room and our bedroom had various 220V outlets to our avail. Arriving for breakfast just past 7am, we were offered lovely cappuccino as well as a continental buffet breakfast, very well prepared and presented, with the choice also of a warm English breakfast. This proved to be a good choice as well. The selection of fruit, cheeses, fruit salad, yoghurt and cerals did impress every time – we also love to eat at Cape Diamond Hotel when not staying. We had enjoyed, during our stay over three days and two nights, several meals and I will mention a few: 1. Beef burgers made of the choicest forequarter and served with slightly spicey chips. A Windhoek Lager proved to be a good companion. We did not require dessert yet there were good options including our favourite cheesecake. Pricing is below typical franchised food and still quality was vastly superior. 2. Sirloin steak with a Blue Cheese sauce, potato wedges, fresh al dente grilled veggies and sweet potato fries. This was a meal that will be remembered for a very long time. Once again, quality was up and pricing below average. 3. My wife enjoyed a Chicken Wrap that was tasty. She loves her steak yet enjoyed this colourful dish. 4. We had very tasty Rump Steak here a week ago and that was very good as well. Parking – ample parking at a nominal charge in a secure parcade in an adjacent building. Decor in the lounge and dining area is contemporary and will suit most tastes. It is the staff, however, that really makes this hotel the success that it apparently is. Perhaps because it is privately owned and family run, it is homely, friendly and hospital. We have frequented many four- and five star hotels that do not even come close to make you feel special and appreciated as were we at Cape Diamond Hotel. Will we visit agains? Sure! Will we recommend it? We just did!

I paid a fortune only to shower with cold water. Worse than the prison! I expect value for money when staying in the hotel. The staff member /manager was trying to be defensive by saying other people did not complain. It doesn't mean when "other people" don't complain all is well.
