This place is clean, comfortable and literally a 5 min walk from the park. The pictures of the pool area on Booking.com are of another establishment. I just feel like it’s false advertising, they do however upon checking in give you access cards to that hotel so that you may used their pool area but its a bit of a distance getting there. The area is buzzing with a variety of restaurants with my favorite being the Codfather. We had a great stay except for the one night one of the property owners accused us of being intruders, I don’t know if it is because we are black or what but it was really annoying. He asked me all sorts of irrelevant questions and insisted that I give him my name and units I booked. Overall it’s was not too bad and I would definitely go back.
We had a great stay, so close to everything and easy to walk around, the pool area is nice and chilled, however more umbrellas are needed as there is little shade. Our apartment was a good size and amenities like a coffee machine you can buy pods for is a nice touch, only downside was air-con only in 1 of the bedrooms. The staff are lovely and help with car hire and tours etc, rooms cleaned and new towels replaced regularly. Only issue was the amount of stairs and a long walk especially with suitcases if you are staying in the bottom part of the hotel. Overall we had a fantastic stay.
First impressions count and weren’t great. We rang the front door buzzer and were ignored. Luggage was checked in early and we came back two hours later to be ignored again. Then there was a problem with our room (this was never explained) and we were left waiting another hour. The rooms were really spacious and had amazing views to the sea, but the room was scruffy and in desperate need of an update. Mostly the staff lacked knowledge and initiative except a lady called SalMarie who was the exception. There was a nice small pool and access directly to the beach front which was great.
Lovely apartment overlooking the sea. Gated accommodation. Our only problem was we were staying 4 days and the 2nd bedroom had no wardrobe or cupboards. We also had the hot water heater in our room so made the room stuffy during the night. Other two rooms lovely. Didnt like the glass front door for security reasons. Staff helpful and stored our suitcases until room was ready. Lovely area to visit Caoe Town and surrounds.
First impressions of the apartment was not good, the door seemed to have been painted many times and was chipped and in a very poor state. On entering we instantly noticed some floorboards had been replaced as they were a different colour to the rest of the apartment. Housekeeping visit to change towels, sheets every four days. Signs in the room about turning switches on boilers etc. to get hot water for showers or bath was odd. this had nothing to do with the water shortage in Cape Town. Breakfast we were supposed to have a voucher but when we asked it was the response was unhelpful. Overall the site needs modernizing and staff could be more responsive, but they were always polite. Location in Camps Bay is excellent, short walk to the sea front and restaurants for evening meal and breakfast. Wi-Fi was strong. The apartment had a super roll topped bath (didn't use it as we did not want to run out of hot water).
Staying now at camps bay village . Very disappointed . Staying supposedly bed and breakfast this costing for 2 nights €250 over 4000 rand. For breakfast you receive a 80 rand voucher this will by you a coffee, orange juice and a croissant with jam, ridiculous ! Coffee and tea in your room eeemmm yes the day you arrive. If you use it , it doesn't get replenished. Of course you can buy nespresso for the machine in your room as you haven't already paid enough. Water crisis so shower maximum 4 min, I have absolutely no problem with that , definitely understand that but then you have to flush the toilet at least 2 times so how is that helping. Room view sounds great on the website partial view of the lions head ( mountain ) see foto. Do like the Mercedes but ..........
My husband and I stayed at Camps Bay Village for several weeks (me two and him one month). It was perfect for extended stay. Our one room apt was equiped with frig, stove, sink, dishes, and coffee maker. We had a small sitting area that was quite comfy and we had a peek a boo of the beautiful Camps Bay Beach. The resort is fenced in (key card access to property) which made us feel safe when we were on the property. The resort is close to many clubs (Dizzys) and restaurants, all within walking distance. The staff was quite helpful in helping us find places to eat in the area and were there most of the day/evenings to greet us when we returned to our apt. SolMarie was especially welcoming and helpful. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to get back in the near future.
Stayed here for 3 nights in a ground floor studio. Location is fantastic, 2 mins stroll from Camps Bay beachfront. Room was a basic studio with double bed and bathroom. We had kitchen facilities and use of the pool directly outside our room. Camps bay is a beautiful area with a good choice of restaurants, cafes and bars. Such good value resort and one of the best locations for the price in the area. Only downfall was the parking. We were able to rent a space across the road but this added to the price. They had a few on site spaces on the road but these were never free during our stay. A great base for camps bay and nearby areas. Hugely recommended.
We stayed in number 11 at Brighton Court which had easy access to the main beach and central to activities which we enjoyed. My City busses pass by on the main road for care free transport. The apartment was clean and spacious with all amenities in good condition. Ideal for families and good WIFI connectivity.
We stayed at Brighton court 14. A 3 bedroom apartment with a livingroom and and a relatively well appointed kitchen including a washer and dryer. The apartment is clean and the beds comfortable. We were there in August and the heating worked well. It is well located next to the beach and offers easy access to most areas on Cape Town. The only caveats are that parking costs an additional modest fee and they charge extra for WiFi per person, a practice I have not encountered elsewhere, but at least it worked. I will be sure to return if I visit Cape Town again.
