Our first stay for the next few days and we were greeted by Janice with warm smile. Husband came out extremely friendly! (I dont see why other previous viewers complained saying theyre racists? Maybe theyre racists were imperfect themselves). Our room was extremely spacious (two standard beds) and enough room for two air mattresses for our little ones. Room was cleaned and bathroom was just the right size. (Again I dont know how precious visitors complained of how small it was. Maybe theyre morbidly obese and need room to take two steps😁) Overall, we will stay here again in a heartbeat!
Pillow had some sort of stain on it, picture below to prove it. Lady at front desk yelled at us for eating by the pool and then called and accused us of stealing her cheap $5 remote for a tv thats the size of my phone. Have fun!!!!!
This was our first time staying at the Pink Champagne. This is a real cute retro motel. Janice in the office was so warm and friendly. My sister and her family had arrived a day earlier. Since our room was ready, we were allowed to check in a little earlier than the normal 3 pm time.. The rooms and the pool are very clean and the price is very reasonable. The bathroom is a little small. It's only a block away from the Wildwood sign, the Convention Center and the beach. There is a bit of a walk to get to the rides on the Boardwalk which really was not a problem since the tram car is right there to get you to where ever you want to go on the boardwalk. Right across the street is the Sea Shell Ice Cream Parlor which makes delicious home made ice cream. We stayed in rooms 207 and 208. This is definitely one of the better Wildwood motels.
I checked in with my daughter and her friend. The woman at the front desk was suspicious that I was not staying with them. She chased me down after going to my car and warned me that she would be “watching” and we may be “thrown out” if I was not on premises. I left to get some errands and within an hour she was banging on the door to the room shouting at my daughter and her friend. She upset them so much, we decided to leave. They felt too uncomfortable there, like they were being stalked. Ridiculous behavior from an adult! Would never recommend this motel to anyone!
The Pink Champagne is a great find. This was my 4th time there and I have already booked my vacation for August. The staff is great, Janice, Eugene and Mary! The rooms are clean and the price is very reasonable. It's only a block away from the Wildwood sign, boardwalk and beach. If your not into fancy motel/hotel rooms this retro style place is a great place to stay. Two great places to go while your there right across the street is the Sea Shell Ice Cream Parlor and as your coming into Wildwood a small place called "Hooked Up" great FRESH fish. Caught righter there and cooked...can't get any fresher. Love Wildwood can't wait to go back in August!
I reserved a room for our holiday stay via booking.com for this motel. Upon arrival the discrimination began. As soon as we arrived the lady working front desk (who refused to give me her name) stormed out of the front door locked it and ran to our car asking what did we want. I advised her we had reservations and were checking in. While standing outside she looked at me and asked for ID from everyone in our party before even entering the office. After being let into the office she got right on their phone and called the manager " Eugene" saying "they are here. It's three of them" the manager to her to cancel ur reservation. I'm 32 years old and and I've have never been through this feeling as if we were rejected based on the color of our skin. Places like this should be banned from being in business. I then called booking.com to file a complaint on the motel. But, they went and told that they cancelled our reservation due to "misconduct" and that we refused to pay an extra person fee. Which is complete bull. They never did tell us about any fees. They just wanted us out of there. Not only did they ruined our holiday weekend because we couldn't find anything else last min. But they also hurt my feelings.
We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Pink Champagne back in September for Labor Day Weekend. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff (who even help you get in and out of difficult parking spots). The room and property were both clean upon arrival and the beds were comfy. I can't say enough about the staffers. From the cleaning crew to the reception area, everyone was wonderful and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. The walk is a little far to get to the "major" parts of the boardwalk but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle. I recommend it highly. There are a lot of food options around. Be sure to check out the Seashell Ice Cream Parlor across the street from the hotel. It's incredible! Also, Duffers, Uncle Bill's Pancake House and Alumni Grill are all definitely worth stopping by for lunch, dinner and treats.
when we arrived Eugene gave us an attitude because we had 2 many people but we explained that everyone was not staying but that did not help,he said they would check all week. the room was very small and the pool and grounds were very cramped.
This hotel told us they were close to the beach; yeah two full blocks and one block over to reach the beach access and boardwalk. The room was clean but had NO ICE at the hotel. If you wanted ice you could make your own or purchase it. The pool was small. ON third floor and there are NO elevators. It is three story walk up with all beach stuff and luggage. Air conditioning unit was ok..small shower. Did have kitchen with full refrigerator; Told us they had a grill which was disgusting and not clean I would never use it to cook food at all. Parking your car is tight. There wasn't room for me to get out I had to climb over my seats to use another door since cars are so closely packed and I my truck was scratched on drivers quarter panel due to closeness of cars. So parking isn't great!! Door to office is always locked and you have to get permission - be buzzed in if you have any questions. We paid over $100 a night for this hotel and it was worth about $70 a night in my opinion. They told us there were two double beds, one was a pull out couch. Not enough blankets and sheets needed to be newer; they looked worn. Everything was clean.
Fun family get away! We love vintage style, a pool and the beach. This is a classic motel- so we came without an expectation of hotel amenities. This is ideal for self sufficient travelers. Kitchenette is perfect to prepare breakfast and lunch. We walked everywhere- the beach, Boardwalk and The Boat House. Our experience with staff was great. A true value. We'll absolutely be back!
