Were one of first guests. Had never been to a Cape May. Great trip. Loved the Boarding House. Cool decor. Intimate. Fab roof deck. Helpful, kind staff. Bit of a walk to beach but didn’t mind. Close walk to grocery and liquor. Also to many shops and restaurants.
Beautiful aesthetic—modern, clean, almost a Southern California feel. Very comfy beds, beautiful bathroom, terrific and very friendly staff. Free happy hour (beer and wine). A nice change from Victorian vibe
We had an excellent two-night stay at the Boarding House. It was clean and comfortable and when we go back we will hang out on the roof-top seating area. It was our first visit to Cape May. What a lovely small town. We visited the Boarding House's sister restaurant, Harry’s Ocean Bar and Grille and enjoyed our breakfast seated at the outside patio across the street from the ocean. We enjoyed the proximity to the Washington Street Mall. The walk into town was lovely with all the old houses kept up so nicely. The boarding house staff members were warm and welcoming. And the happy hours each evening were fun!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Comfortable room, nicely decorated. Quiet area, good location to town, walking distance. The rooftop deck was a nice place to relax and unwind. We definitely return.
Wonderful experience. Staff was outstanding & verrrry dog friendly. Loved our room & breakfasts at Harry’s we’re also exceptional. Only issue was that we did not a space to sit outside our room with our dog. We were room #1 with the stairs right in front of our door but next time I’ll know to ask for a different pet friendly room.
This completely renovated motel has clean spacious comfortable rooms. They are well designed and tastefully decorated. The person who staffed the front desk (I believe an owner) was very helpful. The Boarding House is located on the edge of the commercial / tourist area. However, walking in Cape May is easy. We had no problem walking to the places we wanted to visit.
Boarding House has a great surf vibe with local artists work displayed on the walls. We enjoyed the intimate feel and loved the roof top deck while sipping our free happy hour beverage. Two thumbs up in our book.
The Boarding House is lovely. We stayed in a K Suite and the room was fresh and new and very clean. All of the staff, especially Katie, go out of their way to help and assist and make sure guests are happy. The amenities include beach tags, chairs, towels and umbrella at the property's sister resort which makes it super easy to access the beach. We had a great time and highly recommend.
Couldn’t recommend the boarding house more. Room was smaller than anticipated but it really wasn’t a big deal! Super clean and homey. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and inviting and willing to answer any questions. We had access to beach chairs and an umbrella, which was awesome. As soon as we checked in, we were already planning another trip back!
We stayed 2 nights and loved every min!!! Check in was super easy and we had a late check in the first night and they were in contact the whole time. The room was up to date and the bed was sooo comfortable.
