Hyannis Harbor Hotel3.5 out of 5.0

We stayed in a jacuzzi king room. Everything was great, nice, modern, clean room. Location great, walkable to restaurants, harbor. My only complaint is there is almost no view of harbor. We could see a smidgen of harbor peaking around the roof line, but basically not a clear view. I feel the “view of the harbor” aspect is exaggerated. However looking at other hotels in Hyannis this is probably the nicest overall. Grounds, pool, fire pit, outside areas beautifully kept up.
Not by choice, but as a resident of Nantucket and a victim of cancelled flights/boats, I have had to spend a lot of time in hotels in Hyannis. This is by far the best location, the best facility and best customer service in town.
We decided to try something new for a change and spend a little more money to get away for one night.we spent $200 to spend the night here to have a room with a spa tub. Upon arrival the two gentleman at the front desk continued there casual conversation for a good five minutes before I was even greeted. The hotel concierge gave me my hotel key and said have a nice day without giving any direction as to where the room was. Upon arrival, the area rug in the living room and bathroom had giant stains on them. We called the front desk who agreed to send someone right up. Someone did not come “right up”, there was no immediate action. Someone eventually came for the rug, which we need to help remove. We had to ask for the floor to be vacuumed. No one offered to replace the rug. And no one apologized for the disgusting carpets. Completely disappointing. For $200 per night, this is not ok.
I was on the Cape for business this week and had the pleasure of staying at the renovated Hyannis Harbor Hotel in their new tower building. The rooms are on par with any luxury property. The attention to detail - from the color palette to the rope towel bars -is impressive. I had a spacious King bedroom that had a seating area as well as a table and two chairs which was great; I was on business and had work to do in the evenings. The massive flat screen swiveled making it visible from all areas. The service was top notch. The entire team, from Scott the GM to the front desk team of Michelle, Sinjin and Manny - everyone went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed during my stay. Sitting in the lobby, looking across the street at the harbor, is the perfect way to start a morning on Cape Cod, whether for business or pleasure. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an upscale hotel that is centrally located.
This hotel is the best in town the location is amazing personal real nice group of people. The rooms are very clean, the pool and the restaurant crazy nice... The manager a great guy very helpful. We enjoy so much Thank you!
We stayed in the new part. The room was great, as were the bathrooms. There are some pretty good restaurants within easy walk of the hotel, and it's ideally placed for an early morning ferry! We found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
We recently stay here for a night while on business, having selected the hotel based on photos on their website and their touting their new building. Imagine... the scenic harbor, boats bobbing on the tide, seagulls soaring, lovely nautical decor... When we got to our room we discovered we had a perfect view--of the rear kitchen and storage trailer for the hotel restaurant next door and the parking lot that surrounds the building on three sides! (In the morning we got to watch as a semi unladed food supplies--what a bonus!) For a hotel that touts its quaint harborside location, it was as bad a view as one could imagine. In fact, because the building actually sits perpendicular to the harbor, it's unlikely that any room has even a glimpse of the harbor. Very disappointing. (That said, the room was nicely appointed and the bed was comfortable.)
Arrived to hear the room we chose ....with a view was CLOSED FOR THE SEASON to bad no obe told us befire dove 2 hours in 10 degree weather. Indoor pool...yup CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. Nice little fitness room....oh ya that's on the building with the room with a view, you had to walk much to far down the street around a huge empty hotel building. NO HEAT ,NO ACESS TO A REST ROOM in that building WATER ABD HEAT OFF FOR THE SEASON Its a shame the room was lovely and clean...over looking a parking lot! We thought we would work out ,swim dine and watch the ferry. People at desk where fully aware, they had a boy put a space heater in fitness room, it would never have beaten the ice cold . We waited for contact from management but nothing.
We stayed in the suite overlooking the harbor, the room was huge and the soaking tub made my fiances weekend. A few items where broken in the room from over the summer. Perfect location, it's right downtown and walking distance to everything
My wife and I stayed here for several nights. On the last night I was bitten by a bedbug, later shown to my doctor and he diagnosed that they were indeed bedbug bites. I experienced severe itchiness and pain for 2+ weeks. I called the hotel to advise, had to call a second time as the manager never returned my call; when we did speak he advised that his staff looked and found nothing. Really ? His solution was to do nothing more but would put me in touch with “corporate”. I declined to proceed further but feel other people considering this place should be aware of my experience. We were very unhappy with the way my concern was handled.
