Sorell Hotel Seefeld

The staff at this cozy hotel are among the most genuinely friendly and helpful I've experienced in my travels. The rooms are stylish, light, and airy, and our family of four stayed very comfortably. We enjoyed walking along the lake and exploring the neighborhood, but could also catch the tram just a block up the street and take it to the trains and buses very easily. Lots of local dining options, and my wife and I enjoyed the small bar in the hotel as well. Breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel!

A group of needed to have a last minute business lunch and the Sorel was a good choice. They were flexible, very attentive, fast. We only had a light business lunch in a private room, but it was perfect for our event.

Such a lovely, small hotel one block away from the lake. Charming staff, small room but with everything you need (I like the free mineral water in the fridge - nice touch). Comfortable bed and windows that open. Easy to get to from Stadelhofen station and on a quiet road. Delicious breakfast too and included! Would come back on a flash.

They would be like this. A functional but not pretty room with everything you need. Staff were friendly and attentive and breakfast was a full choice of good quality food. Air con, TV with English channels and just 10 minutes from the Centre. Our only wish was that the bar was open in an evening.

On friend's advice we stayed a couple of days. This is not a fancy charming place but conveniently located (close to the center and in a nice shopping area) and reasonable for Zurich standards. Staff has been really nice and helpful.

No A/C!!!! They brought me a fan. You've got to be joking. It was unpleasant constantly. The room was very small, even by Zurich standards. I booked this hotel because it had a gym, which was tiny and not really worthy of that name. The breakfast was poor, they had four drinks and they ran out of three of them, and did not bother to refill them. You have to boil your own eggs. Very disappointed.

I stayed here 2 nights in a single room on a business trip. The hotel has a good location, in a relatively quiet area with the tramline right in front, near to bars and restaurants and the lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but sufficient for my needs. There is no air-conditioning so I had to open the windows one night as it was a bit warm, but fortunately my room faced a relatively quiet back street with views of a hill. The rooftop viewing platform was nice as you could go up any time and take photos of the beautiful scenery or just sit down and chill. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Seefeld exceeded our (high) expectations. This was our first time in Zurich and we were a bit nervous about the language barrier, but were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to converse with the employees. Besides the beautiful rooms, the perfect location, and the delicious breakfast, the staff made this stay so enjoyable. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, we could spend hours chatting with them! Couldn't recommend this hotel more!

We stayed one night here. The front desk staff were friendly and the breakfast that we had booked was included and good. The room itself was a nice size but the fronting of the hotel is on the tram line and as such it was noisy. There is also no air-con (the air is 'conditioned' but there is not 'air-con' as per the room guidebook). So, on a hot day in Zurich, it was a hot stay in the room. The location is good and near a nice selection of restaurants. All things considered, it was functional and did the job but it won't ever be a memorable experience for you.

We basically use it for sleeping, but it was clean, easy to check in good breakfast, good service, good speed wifi, all we needed for that night. not sure how close it was to any attraction, as we have no time to come out. just one recomendation: don't book taxi to airport through hotel. They say that taxi was 65 francs to airport if booking with hotel reception. I used UBER and it cost me USD 32 dollars!! (less than 30 Francs).
