Recently renovated, you’ll enjoy marble sinks, blond oak floors and, depending on the room, lovely views of Zurich and its namesake lake. Right next to the Opera House and a short walk into the center of everything, you get the best of both worlds - relaxation and bustle - as you choose. Carmen checked me in and was a delight after 24 hours of travel and airports. She went above and beyond! What a gem!
Lovely hotel. Excellent location. You can easily take the train from the Airport to the station near the hotel.
I liked the restaurant and outside seating and the lounge area in the hotel. The matress and pillows in my room were very comfortable although I found the duvet too warm so slept part of the time on top of it instead of under it.
I had reserved a room with a lake view for a romantic weekend with my girlfriend. When we arrived at the hotel and were told that our reservation had been sent to another hotel. They were overbooked. When I asked if I would be compensated for losing my room, they said no. We were then sent to Hotel Europe, which was at least close. However, it was significantly worse quality. The room was old, the bed was literally breaking, and there was just a view of a wall. Also, when I checked the price for the room that we received, it was 50 francs cheaper than the room that I had reserved (and paid for in advance) at the other hotel. My girlfriend was upset about our shabby treatment the entire trip. Basically, the trip was ruined.
If you would write a novel about "The Perfect Hotel Stay" take example from the Ambassador. Staff is unobtrusive, yet perfectly anticipating your every wish. Rooms designed to be luxurious, yet not losing the charms of yesteryear, a restaurant catering to every wish of us spoiled New Yorkers (Yes, we can be difficult, but I would never admit to that!). I have now stayed a couple of times at the hotel and it has never disappointed me.
Really a fun place to stay. Right near the lake, and walking distance to everything. We found some of the reception staff, less friendly than other staff who were great.

The hotel is located walking distance from downtown and just a block from the beautiful lake. Attention to details and courteous staff made our stay very enjoyable. Lovely hotel.
Loved everything about this boutique hotel- just wished we could have stayed longer. The room was small, but perfectly arranged and the bed was comfy. Truly one of the best.
Our stay was a 3 night stay. The hotel is comfortable, close to everything you want to see and breakfast is good. The showers go from hot to cold without warning and the street can be a little noisy outside. The rooftop terrace is a great place to sit and get work done.
This hotel was great. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were comfy and the food was excellent. You are not in the center of everything, but everything is still within walking distance- including the shopping areas.
Wonderful stay at tidy comfy hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Close to Opera house and center of town. Great renovated bathroom, comfortable/ adjustable bed, and espresso machine in room. Only problem was the maid did not replace our shampoo, towel, and coffee. Price was a bit steep but it was a fun splurge.
