The hotel is less than 5 min walk from tram station... And taking tram to city centre just takes 15 min or so. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and clean. Good value for money.
The hotel is about 5 km from the main city which doesnt seem too far online but is actually somewhat outside. You would need to use a tram or taxi and could buy a 24 hr pass for travel which is about 8 euro. The hotel room is nice and compact and we had a comfortable stay here but would prefer a more central location next time.
Chose this hotel as we wanted a place with parking and the ability to clean clothes ready for our final 2 weeks. When we arrived we had to wait for someone to come to reception - no welcome drink for genius booking . The room was pleasant and furnishings new. However, cleaner had not removed/cleaned a glass and it was on a side shelf. The toilet brush was filthy and when we opened the windows the external metal shutters were coated in dust. Parking was expensive @ 24CHF per day. The free tram ticket helped to get around. But there was nowhere onsite for evening food unless we had tapas in the bar ( where a function was happening). Restaurants opposite were poor and expensive. Laundry from the hotel was 18CHF for jeans. Not certain but had my only asthma attack (in 10 different hotels) that night and think the airconditioning was partly at fault. This does not deserve to be a 4star hotel. We recommend you choose anywhere else.
Check-in on 28/8/17-30/8/17, indicted that it was our 10th year anniversary upon booking. They upgraded our room and wished us happy anniversary. which it really meant alot to us. Located not far from the Zurich stadium(Grasshopper/FC Zurich), a tram #12 ride is just 6-7 stations away to the city. it comes with good buffet and strong wifi both in and out of the room. It have a gym and a suana room which is directly opposite my room's balcony. the room is of good size compare to others in the city as Zurich is a very expensive place to stay. A kabab shop is just beside it as well as a convenient stall. Will definitely stay again when i visit Zurich again.
Had a great weekend stay here. Got a good genius deal on Booking.com. Room was spacious enough and had decent amenities. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Ample space around sink for toiletries. Closet rather small but good for short stay. Complimentary water and coffee machine in room. Large window that can be opened for fresh air. Restaurants nearby (Da Angela and Cono are great Italian) and Letzipark mall is a few blocks away with COOP supermarket and other shops. Tram stop a few meters away.
So this is the second time we stayed with H+Hotel, and let me say we have never been disappointed. Staff: They all speak English. When traveling as an English speaker it's vital ppl at your residence can effectively communicate. Friendly, offer information on the best way to get around the city. Beautiful faces and pleasant smile Room: from Berlin to Zurich the bed is ultra comfortable, nice queen size bed, didn't know I would appreciate my own comforter until I stayed here. Offered a safe, cable TV only the news in English so that was boring, spacious room, clan facilities, coffee machine in room. Overall service: Great We got upgraded to business class, and we had access to the gym and sauna. We also had our own patio overlooking the stadium. Travel: located on the 2 line. This line is the best line to access the city center and all the tourist stuff.
I had to wait 20 min at check in (6pm on a Monday) before being provided with a key. Once in the room I found out there was no shower gel and that the sink was clogged. I reported the shower gel issue to reception only to find 3 shampoos in my shower, but no trace of shower gel. Also, the hotel does not offer room service apart from breakfast. I would give this place 3 stretched stars. No way this is a 4 stars for business clients.
Nice, spacious hotel room, decent parking (which you need to pay for). Small, functional gym on the fifth floor, with a little terrace right outside it. There were 2-3 sun loungers facing the inner courtyard. Not far to the public transport into town. Did not try breakfast.
We originally booked two rooms at the Ramada Hotel Zurich which was stated as being in Zurich City. We arrived to find that the Hotel was now an H+ Hotel only one room was reserved for us and although Ramada had taken the full price beforehand it took some time to convince the reception staff - fortunately we had a bank statement which showed the deduction being made. We were allocated rooms but they were not adjacent. The rooms were small, there is no restaurant for lunch or dinner and the breakfasts were extremely expensive for average food. Taxi cost between 45 francs to 60 francs to get to the city centre which was 3.5 kilometres from the hotel. We were very dissatisfied and the whole experience was very expensive for the 4 days we were there.
Twin beds were made up as double despite promises they would be single. I do not want to sleep with my adult son! Toilet seat broken. Coffee maker had one expresso cup and one small coffee cup, so only one can have a proper coffee if you can work machine! Also NO milk substitute so has to be black! On the pls side there is a simple tram into town nearby and a local supermarket handy for personal supplies as restaurant was VERY expensive even for breakfast
