We stayed only one night at this hotel. We booked a standard room and we became a suite which was very nice! It was huge, the bed was big and very comfortable, the room itself was what you should expect from such a hotel. The problem was the Internet. We couldn’t get a connection in our room, we went to the reception and they sent a technician. We became a router to install in our room but it didn’t work. I think we expect nowadays that the hotels have a gut Internet connection and it was a disappointment. The breakfast was also good, the views from the hotel are amazing.
A very nice hotel, reception was very good, hotel room had a fantastic view on the lake and on Lugano. Breakfast was simply delicious and the choice of food was enough... i have seen breakfast with more choices but i do admit that the omelet prepared under your eyes with an expert touch was for sure an experience. Sauna, Turkish bath and indoor swimming pool also very very good!! The Havana bar is a smoking bar, i quit smoking so i did not spend more than 30 min, however, i had my cigar with a great cocktail and.... yes again.. the view the view the view. Yes, i do recommend this hotel as all the staff, breakfast, reception, check in-out, driver, barman have been very professional. Very good service. Thats how a hotel should run!
Enjoyed our stay in this roomy hotel. The good points: Large comfortable bedroom and lounge area and a really good sized and well equipped balcony, excellent breakfast, amazing views of Lugano from our room and balcony. However, we had to pay for the taxi from the station, (not what we were led to believe), reception staff were not interested when we told them; also busy noisy Harley Davidson weekend; had to ask twice for a taxi to take us back to the station; restaurant wasn't available one evening due to a wedding taking place; [there's an excellent restaurant opposite the entrance to the hotel]; also lots of steps and steep hill down into the town, not too bad going down but exhausting walking back especially on a hot day. Don't think I'd choose this hotel if I ever come back to Lugano.
From the moment we arrived we felt nicely welcomed. My husband had to rush for a business meeting and we wanted to have lunch before he had to leave. Even if the restaurant was not open yet, they prepared the meal for us and we were served a delicious lunch on the terrace. The rooms, even if they would need some esthetical updates, were extremely clean, were very spacious and had a stunning view. The quality of the meals was very high, really delicious. The breakfast buffet was very nicely assorted, everything we needed was there. All the restaurant team was great and the service was amazing. The cocktails from the bar were great. We also visited the swimmingpool and it is a nice plus, also with nice views. It is without hesitation a hotel we will visit again. Thanks to all the team for being so nice and helpful!
This is the third time, we are coming to this hotel overseeing Lugano with our 3 kids. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the service is great. The breakfast is just fabulous and you can only enjoy the outstanding Italian or Asian - Japanese food served on a terrasse overseeing Lugano. Slightly out of Paradiso, this hotel will enable you to spend a quiet and peaceful time, which also makes it fabulous for a romantic stay. Last but not least, knowing few other hotels nearby, Suitenhotel Parco Paradiso offers an excellent good value for money service quality. With no doubt, we will go back as soon as we can.
it's the first time i going in this place, but it'sa really surprise!! Very good welcoming and good service. Big and beautiful room with garden. Two restaurant very delicius! Good breakfast. i love it this place, sure I'm return.
Stayed in a ground floor suite for only one night on a buisiness trip but I wished I could have stayed longer. Quick check in then escorted to a fabulous suite. Separate air conditioned bedroom with luxury linen, and large TV with English TV available. Full bathroom facilities with shampoos etc and high quality towels. The living area has a comfy sofa, desk and another TV with DVD player and good furnishings.A large patio door lead to a large garden area with patio furniture and a fabulous view of the lake. Wifi was available with no connection problems. I met with colleagues in the Cuban bar which reminded me of a '50's film set. Drinks were expensive at an average of 18 francs and it is a smoking bar with Cuban cigars the favourite smoke. A quick 10 minute walk downhill took us to the lake where we visited bars and a restaurant. In the morning breakfast was served in the dining area, buffet style and cooked to order- a great choice available. The hotel has a pool and spa facilities. Myself and colleagues were sad to check out and all vowed we would try and visit again for a leisure trip.
We took a suite on the top floor which had plenty of room for 2 adults and two children. We stay in a lot of hotels but when the family entered the room they said wow! The view is amazing and the room is well laid our just as you need it. The hotel pool was empty daytime we used it and large enough to swim and have fun with the kids. The cocktail bar is a smoking bar, but it does amazing drinks! The hotel is a trek into town, especially back up the steep hill. That was fine for us, but could be a problem for some.
This was my third time in this hotel and I will surely come back. Great experience in the suite with a wonderfull view to lake Lugano, very spacious room and really nice furniture with the charm of the 50-ies (I love it).The breakfast was great and the location was quiet and close to further restaurants and the city. And with enough parking for cars.
After seeing the weather for our part of Switzerland was forecast to be rubbish, we decided to escape over the mountains to Lugano. I looked for a hotel on Thursday night, to accommodate us (family of four) for one night on Saturday The Parco Paradiso was one of the cheaper options but after reading the positive reviews, we booked. We arrived at 1pm (check in time is 3pm) and wanted to leave our car and belongings there whilst we hunted out some lunch. The friendly receptionist checked and our room was ready so we were able to leave all out things there. The room itself (214) was pleasantly decorated and really very spacious, even with the pullout bed in the main room. Lovely terrace with a view towards the lake (higher up would have been better as the view was a bit obstructed by the buildings in front but as we had only paid for a garden view, this was nothing to complain about) The rooms and bathroom were very clean although the bathroom was a touch small (given the size of the room itself) We walked down to the lake to have lunch - to the lake itself is about 5 mins and to the shops about 10 mins, even with a toddler in tow We had the free Ticino ticket from the hotel, which enabled us to ride the bus for free and get discounts on other attractions. I would definitely advise getting the bus back up the hill to the hotel :) The pool was small but again clean and well looked after. We had dinner in the Japanese grill in the hotel and the food was good and, as ever in Switzerland, expensive. The children enjoyed the Teppanyaki show and the chefs were very friendly, as were the waiters in the restaurant. Breakfast was included in our package and was ok - unbeknown to us it was Fathers Day in Ticino so it was very busy, with bread etc running out and not being replaced very quickly - the whole room felt a bit hectic but that is possibly just because of the day. Overall we had a great time and will hopefully come again
