A lavish boutique hotel located in the city centre… Einstein St.Gallen Hotel is a 10-min walk from the train station, and a 5-min walk to the Christmas market. My husband and I travel all over Europe in December every year for Christmas markets, and we normally choose a hotel not too far away from those. Einstein fitted the bill just fine. Ours was a spacious and a cozy room, with fairly large and functional bathroom. The city centre and cathedral view from top floor rooms is nice. The hotel was just perfect stop for our one-night stay in St. Gallen. The beautiful Abbey Cathedral of St Gall, which was listed as the UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983, is a 2-minute walk. Its towers could be seen from our room window. The hotel’s friendly and helpful staff made our short stay complete in every sense. Just one word of caution though… the hotel hosts a lot of conferences (or congress as they call it) from time to time… so watch out for that as it could get busy around the time.

We had a junior suite and it was worth every penny... Check out their special promotion with Dinner (at the Gourmet 1 Michelin Star restaurant) - it is definitely worth while. Nothing in Switzerland is cheap but for the room size, comfort and facilities as well as the dinner and breakfast - it was worth the price. We had a very nice room. Aside from that we dined at their 1 Michelin Star Restaurant and it was a great experience where we were assigned a personal butler. This butler was assigned for the evening to only two tables so it is very personalised. Enjoyed the dinner thoroughly. Also, had a great time there...I am definitely happy to revisit St Gallen another time! If you are walking from the Train Station, it is a rather convoluted way so be prepared to spend at least 15-20 minutes walking. As Uber is not available, taxi will costs around 18 Swissfranc ....

einstein is probably one of the largest establishments you can find in st gallen. upon check in, i was greeted by friendly and professional staff who speak fantastic english. although the single room was a bit small (and so was the bed), the view out from the windows is majestic, which makes up for the small size. room facilities are sufficient: comes with a small tv (but lots of channels), a work desk, fridge, and mini bar (water is not complimentary as i later learned at check out, and in fact quite pricey, even though the mini bar list stated that water is free). bed was comfortable, but pillows a little on the soft side. ample wardobe space. bathroom was really just a shower, toilet and sink, but all well kept and barely showed any sign of the hotel's age. housekeeping was spot on each day i was there. buffet breakfast too massive to consume -- if you like to start your day with a huge amount and spread, absolutely go for it. my only gripe about the breakfast is the mediocre coffee, and the fact that you have to actually walk across to the conference centre basement to eat it. just a short 10min walk from the train station, or take a taxi for a few francs.

This is an excellent hotel well located in an interesting city. City has fascinating medieval library, good walking, and good local beers. Hotel staff were welcoming; room was spacious, and supplied with amenities.

Spent a great weekend in the beautiful town known for its beautiful laces. The hotel Einstein welcomed me warmly, with a spacious, very clean room. The breakfast buffet was very rich and the meals extraordinary tasty. The chefs of the gourmet restaurant gave us a hearty welcome in the kitchen and showed us, how they make a tasty cake and how a really beautiful decoration is done.

Our stay at Einstein St. Gallen was fine. The hotel is elegantly decorated. Our room was small but cozy. The style of decoration was classic. We liked the beautiful wood used throughout the room. The bed was comfortable. There was also a pillow menu. The bathroom was very small. There were molds in the shower. That was a disappointment. Everything else was perfect. We enjoyed swimming in the pool (made of glass) and other wellness facilities. The fitness and wellness area was huge and fun to explore. However, it could get very crowded since not only hotel guests could use it. We went there at 06:30 and enjoyed some privacy. Overall, our stay was fine. The wellness area was definitely a bonus.

Upon a late arrival the reception team was extremely nice & polite. The restaurant was Excellent with its fantastic creations! The room & bathroom where spotlessly clean. A small however very efficient wellness are, swimming pool and fitness equipment

Hotel Einstein St. Gallen is strategically located in the center of the lively city very close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Abbey with the spectacular baroque library (Stiftsbibliothek). Einstein is a nice hotel offering small but clean rooms with all the bells and whistles of a good hotel, a very friendly and helpful staff helps you along. A large and splendid buffet helps you into a busy day, a huge wellness and fitness center is accessible via a tunnel connection.

Perfect location in town, a solid Swiss hotel experience. Nothing fancy to be expected but good hospitality for a fair price with the staff that makes you feel welcomed. They also provide valet parking.

A lovely hotel indeed. There wasn't anything for lack. The service was impeccable, the greeting was warm and inviting. We had 3 rooms (family of 6) all the rooms were incredibly comfortable, with all the amenities you expect from a FIVE Star hotel. The in-room coffee was amazing. Breakfast was one of the best we've had during this trip throughout Switzerland. The selection was by far one of the widest selections. And we stayed in 7 different hotels. So we had some idea for comparison. We did have to walk across the street to the Einstein Concierge. Not a far walk, just different. For being in a downtown area, the street noise was minimal and we had our windows open the entire time.
