We were put here for one night by Swiss air when they cancelled flight due to mechanic problem. Took the charter bus more than an hour to get here with Zurich airport traffic. Hotel is next to a thermal spa. We did not bring bathing suit, also was 8pm and closed, so did not try the spa. The room is large and modern, big bathroom, big balcony. The buffet breakfast is best we had in Switzerland with smoked salmon. Room has free wi-fi. Has refrigerator in the room, free bottled mineral water.
I have been visiting this hotel for almost 20 years now. best thing about it is the connection to the wondefull Zurzach SPA which was recentley renovated. the hotel is not a modern one but well kept. rooms are quite big and very quite and confertable. breakfast is rich and very tastey. will be back as allways . great walking trails near by
We are regular guests in bad Zurzach for over 25 years. Unfortunately the hotel is not to the standard ecspected. The rooms are old dated, the beds need new matrasses , it is not done to have a thorn robe. During breakfast it is not right to ran out of bread , muesli, fruit at 9:00 am! The staff is friendly as usual, but they can not control short supply. The hotel has not disabled parking, although it is ment to have disabled people visiting. We will come again, as we love the spa which is superbe, but please do something with the hotel!
Very nice place in a quite and relaxing environment. Hotel directly connected with the thermal pools located on the other side of the street. Room comfortable and clean. Good selection of food and drinks for breakfast. Ratio price/quality definitely positive. Worth to mention the delicious dinner with panoramic view enjoyed at the restaurant positioned at the 16th floor of a small tower situated in front of the hotel (one of the three hotel restaurants).
We stayed here many times over the last decades and enjoyed the thermal waters very much. We like the convenience of moving from the room through the tunnel to the spa in our robes. However, at the current exchange rate the room at CHF 240 is getting a bit expensive for foreign visitors even though it includes access to the pools. Another change is that there is no more free parking anywhere; minimum overnight is CHF 5 outside the hotel. Also at this price point I am used to seeing complementary toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast experience remains excellent. We enjoyed the many choices of breads and meats. The bubble pipe-rack in the pool is not to be missed1
Spent a night here with two young children, and stayed in the family room. The family room is spacious and they provided a very nice crib for the baby (a pack-n-play but with a proper mattress). The best part of the hotel are the pools - there is a fantastic children's pool, with lots of things for them to play with. The hotel also provided two small bathrobes for the kids, which they loved!
We stayed at Hotel Therme on our cycling trip. Upon arrivial during check in, the lobby was serving red or whte wine, and small amounts of food, they ran out before the hour was up. The room was nice but with no Air Conditioning the door was open for ventilation. At some point, a voice coming from outside " can you keep your voice down ". We were dumbfounded that we had neighbours eavesdropping on our conversation. Our stay was a lot better than staying downtown Zurzach, where they serve toast and grannysmith apples for breakfast. I realy enjoyed the water and the bubbles massage connected by the underground tunnels
We have patronized Zur Therme for thirty years and have always had a good experience, especially enjoying the proximity to the thermal bad and the delicious breakfast. However, that changed this past visit. The hotel is rated four stars but does not warrant this rating. The rooms are getting shabby although they received a recent face lift. We booked non smoking rooms which we received. However, this is pointless as the hotel allows smoking on the patios of the rooms, In fact, there were ash trays on our patios. The smoke from fellow guests rooms wafted into our room all night long. As the hotel does not have AC, it is impossible to close the windows. In addition, the noise from fellow guests made it impossible to sleep. The hotel did not address these issues to our satisfaction. In order to get some sleep, one of our party went to sleep in the car! What a paradox! Pay over $200 Swiss Francs a night, and have to sleep in the car! Also, the lovely breakfast offered in the past, is no longer offered at the hotel, but one has to go across the street to another hotel to have breakfast. It is still very good, but not as convenient. We were very disappointed with Zur Therme. Next time we visit Bad Zurach, we will be staying at another hotel. In fact, Hotel Zur Post, if you have a room at the back of the hotel, is quite nice although the breakfast could be improved as to selections offered.
We enjoyed 5 nights at the hotel. We have stayed there several times and have never been disappointed. The hotel is very quiet, the rooms are clean and comfortable, not fancy but adequately outfitted. The staff are very effiicient and friendly. The breakfast is the best we have had in Europe. The rate includes the use of the thermal bad which is a real bonus. The spa is very clean and the pools are very relaxing. Only one thing could add to the pleasure of staying at the hotel; it would be nice if complimentary wi-fi was included in the price of the room.
Hotel Zommer top.
