Stayed here for weekend with partner. Very clean and comfy and room was cleaned daily. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was noise from traffic which kept me awake as we had room at front. Staff advised us as to which room at back of hotel to book next time. Will definitely return

L'hote is about 2 minutes drive along the Old Dover Road just beyond the old walls of the City. The hotel was completely renovated and refurbished to a very high standard, only completed about 9 months ago. The owners are very experienced hoteliers and this shows in the presentation of the hotel and also gave a very helpful and personal service throughout our stay. Can't recommend them highly enough, and thank you for a special 2 nights' rest with you.

Overnight stay at this lovely hotel. The hosts were very friendly & welcoming on arrival. Rooms were very comfortable and beautifully designed with all facilities required. Breakfast was delicious & freshly cooked. I would definately recommend this hotel & would stay again. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

I wanted to book at this hotel as it looked so inviting when I passed by. I phoned up to discuss booking, was told rudely to book online, since I needed specific facilities I said I preferred to book in person. The manager begrudgingly took my booking. I was dubious about how friendly this cosy friendly looking hotel would actually be. In the event I needed to temporarily cancel due to plan changes. I phoned up to do this, got manager again, was told to do it online! Said I preferred to do it in person to make sure it went through. He again begrudgingly dealt with my request. Why all the fuss, it took less than 1 minute. The most unfriendly treatment ever on both occasions I have ever come across. Doesn’t cost anything to be amiable on the phone. With this experience I doubt I will re-book here. Shame as it does look inviting. Think Basil Fawlty would have been more friendly!

We had a lovely stay at this wonderful hotel. Exceptional clean, friendly and great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend it. Close to Canterbury City Centre, 15 minutes walk.

I stayed with a friend in this newly renovated hotel for 2 nights and can recommend it highly. The owners were very friendly and the interior is tasteful and spotless. Our rooms were really beautiful with everything as described and the beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - we tried a few options and we ate in the restaurant on Friday night and the meal was high quality and well presented. The location is very convenient being only about 10 min walk from the City and parking is available close by although not on the site. The location was on a busier road than I anticipated but it did not disturb our sleep. I would recommend it with pleasure.

A lovely well decorated, clean hotel not far from Canterbury. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, and our evening meal was superb. We were happy with all aspects of the accomodation, and would readily return.

What a superb get-away! The pair of us were put into the Millers [bedroom at the top] on Saturday. Excellent friendly welcome from the lady of the house. She pointed out the right necessities and left us to it which is great. We walked through the dining room which was spotless. Straight up into the room- super clean, right amount of room for two people. Bed setup perfect, plenty pillows , cushions . Spotless bathroom with power shower. Molton brown toiletries in the bathroom were delicious & a really nice touch. Netflix as an option on the tv remote made my day. We used our own account. Breakfast is available but we didn’t opt for this which was fine. Good setup in the bedroom with cofee / tea etc. We were lucky with parking as a spot was free down the side road. Overall excellent experience. The gentleman in the morning who said bye was very friendly & has good customer service. I would definitely return. Thankyou & we didn’t have chance to try out their restaurant but the menu looked delicious.

I visited this hotel last Saturday with my 80 year old mother so she could go to her grandsons 30th birthday party. I had booked well in advance a twin room but when we turned up it was a double and the man in the reception who showed us to our room seemed most put out when I said it would have to be a twin and that was what I had booked. He mentioned that he'd have to try and get hold of house keeping as they had gone home. When leaving to go out that night he was staring into his phone so I asked if he'd managed to get hold of house keeping and he said he hadn't so I asked what was he going to do about it and couldn't he sort the beds himself. The lady with him said they would sort it out. Fortunately when we got back we had twin beds. I run a couple of businesses involving dealing with the public and this guys attitude is appalling and offhand. It hadn't improved at breakfast. There was no apology for THEIR ERROR and all he seemed to want to do was get back into his reception and onto the computer. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast ok. The young girl who came into work on the Sunday morning was very polite and helpful. Maybe they should get her on reception!!

We stayed here at the beginning of March. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and taken to our room. The hotel is superbly decorated, rooms are lovely and all staff are very friendly. We ate in the restaurant and the food was five star. Would definitely recommend hotel and restaurant and will definitely return. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable.
