I had a reservation for 4 nights and was told I HAD to pay for a week and that myhusband could not stay in the same room as I did.

This motel was okay for just passing through. The staff was kind and the the room clean and comfortable.

The owner and his wife are very accomodating. Thanks.

Older hotel but clean and smells good. Way off the interstate so took some effort to find. Good signage, which helped. Nice motel.

First of, property is in a super small town with not much to do, but this is sometimes a good thing - to unplug from city-life. Booked last available room online at last minute and totally missed the fact I accidentally booked a smoking room. THIS WAS MY FAULT. Office manage couldn't help as she said there were no other rooms available, even though parking lot was empty (later in the evening people started arriving and checking in). Upon walking into room, the cigarette smoke was so overwhelming and concentrated that I find it hard to understand how anyone would be comfortable in such a room, no matter how clean. The stench permeated everything inside the room, on my person, and inside my bags. In fact, two days after trip, the odor still lingers on all my items inside my bags. Since it was only room available I stayed as long as I could. When I couldn't sleep I got my things and left in the middle of the night. I may have had a better experience in a non-smoking room. Smokers might find this room acceptable so I am still recommending property if you don't mind being in a residential town, 5 miles from freeway, and many more miles from other towns. If you don't smoke, pay attention to room description, and stay away from smoking room number 10.

We stopped overnight at the Best Western U-Bar Motel on our way home from the Black Hills. We had a nice, clean room and a great breakfast. Everyone was very friendly, especially the manager who made special arrangements for us to arrive late at night. I would stay here again if I'm in the area.

I stayed here since I had some appointments at the Ortman Clinic, and it was quiet and well maintained. The owners were also very nice. It is a very small town, so there isn't much to do except relax and get away from the city life. I did have problems with the internet connection and cell phone reception, but that was understandable considering how remote Canistota is. The rooms aren't that big either, but for the price it was nice for a short visit.

We drove by this hotel and the yard and surrounding area was so bad we did not stop and sacrificed our rental fee. It was several miles off the expess-way, in a very small town that looked depressed. The lawn was not mowed, there were no cars in the parking lot, and there were no lights in the office. It looked like it was shut down.

It was in the middle of nowhere and it was ok but too far away from anything.

Room was spacious, tv was very fuzzy and shower curtain had stains on it. Bed was comfortable. Ok for the rate and location to small town we were traveling to.

We very much enjoyed our one-night stay at this well-run motel. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the motel managers were very friendly. We can recommend the cafe "Baxa's", a short walk away, for a nice basket meal. Some people might not like the fact that the motel is about 15-20 miles away from any night life, but this rated as a plus for us.

My friend Kenny and I had such a great time getting to know the Staff and the town. We love the room and they had very comfortable beds! Everyone was so nice to us. I really can't wait to go a visit again!

Marilyn I am sorry for the confusion. Your reservation was cancelled due to an invalid credit card as well as numerous fraudulent reservations.
