I had my apprehensions about staying at a hotel that's not on the beach in Goa. But the team at Novotel left no room for such worries from the moment we walked in. It was wonderful to meet Susan and her team. They really ensured we had a comfortable stay. In fact, Susan was so helpful with information about Goa and the places off the usual tourist beat. The bathrooms can do with some additional place for toiletries, but otherwise the rooms are large and very comfortable. Surely coming back.

· Plus : 1. Great Breakfast 2. Staff - Always Helpful with a smile 3. Kid Friendly Hotel: They organise daily activities for kids which is a good idea. 4. Superb Location - close proximity to the beach and restaurants and clubs · Negatives: 1. The hotel lacks clearly in the cleanliness deptt. We had the luxury rooms but the state of the rooms, the flooring, carpets seems to have taken a harsh beating and needs a immediate revamp. 2. The pool is not maintained and seems unhygienic.

Absolutely well looked after. Comfortable room. Good food. Special thanks to chef Pradeep and team for serving every meal with warmth and an attitude to make your morning wonderful. Asim, Mark and young ladies at coffee shop - what a customer orientation and eye to identify a repeated customer. Mark - you have been the same for over 5 years. Rohan, people here miss you. My best Naveen

So it was a much awaited Goa Vacay with kid’s Holidays. We booked this Hotel after looking at pics and reviews. Staff at reception was polite and upgraded us from Superior (starting category) to Luxury. All good so far. But we were taken aback after entering our room and finding that you are imprisoned and can’t even open the curtains to look outside. Hotel staff showed us 3-4 other rooms, almost all are the same. Their property faces residential houses and you will find people peeping right into your rooms, just 8-10m away. Didn’t expect such a kind of treatment after paying almost 7500 per night. Staff agreed to give us pool facing room of same category at an extra charge, which in my view is nothing else but cheating. Will post more, as the days will pass here.

I wanted to enjoy this hotel, but sadly I have to say it banks on its name and location and severely lacks in areas that count such as: 1. Housekeeping - the floors were not clean, they felt sticky. I had to call down for bedroom slippers, a robe and hand towels (I asked if this was not a standard provision and was told it was, so clearly they’d forgotten). The next day, an extra bedsheet I’d asked for was taken away during room cleaning and I had to call for another. 2. Accommodation - I was on the third floor, on the side of the building(no view, unless you count the rooftops of buildings). The problem with that floor is that the hotel’s party hall/conference room is right in the middle. So you’ll have guests and other random people wondering on your floor and though there are doors to close off the room section (hotel staff doesn’t bother closing them, I closed them myself twice), these people often took (loud) calls in the room section corridors. Additionally, because of the parties held on the floor, I could hear/feel the heavy footsteps in my room (initially I thought it was from the roof but later realised it was the party hall). So for half the nights I was there, I couldn’t get any sleep till well after 3. On the third night, after I called down to complain I was offered another room across the courtyard to sleep. I didn’t take up the offer because it was late and honestly what guarantee would there be I’d not be disturbed again. So if you’re a light sleeper like me, request for rooms on another floor. The bathroom shower is really not up to the mark, for a supposedly 5 star hotel to have no waterfall shower and broken blinds is unacceptable. 3. I usually bring my own suitcase to my room, however being a family holiday and traveling with elderly parents I preferred to have the luggage brought up. I called down for it twice, and was told the bags were on the way. I finally went downstairs and saw our bags right where we’d left them! I took them myself and complained at the desk at which point a check-in staff helped me with the bags. Any redeeming qualities, you might ask? Yes, the air-conditioning works well (for my room at least, my fellow travellers said otherwise). The breakfast (though repetitive) was a nice spread and I enjoyed the fair selection of coldcuts which is rare in most Indian hotels. And the dining room staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. The bar by the pool also makes a great Gimlet. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel nor will I be returning to stay here again. For the location, price and facilities provided, there are enough alternatives that I’d rather take my chances on.
