Sure glad we booked a weekend stay. Clean, cozy, very comfortable. Fire pit and wood right there. Play area for kids. They loved the loft and climbing up there. Everything u need. Shampoo, conditioner and soap dispenser on shower wall, (not those little never enough bottles in hotels.) Great getaway we will definitely be back.

Had work in area and was driving by. Wasn’t sure what to expect, glad we stop and stayed. Needed a change from normal motels. If back in area will stay again. Clean, comfortable, relaxing and cozy. They are building a larger cabin. Thanks Leon

Looking for something different. Like a mini vacation while working in area Cabin are exceptional clean, comfortable and every needed for a stay. Dollar store across street very convenient for snacks and such. Camp fire and wood available right close to where you need it great. Will definitely be back for fun the next time. Will recommend to others. Thanks for the alternative to a motel.

The cabins actually look nice from the outside. The check- in trailer was depressing enough but the messy and unattractive grounds, poorly appointed cabin, worrisome fire hazards, single egress from the cabin (and only one difficult ladder egress from the loft bed area) made us VERY uncomfortable- there is natural gas but we couldn't see a carbon monoxide monitor. Poor lighting, not to0 clean - there were dirty clothes and trash under our bed on a filthy carpet- nonstick coating peeling from pots and pans, and nowhere to hang or unpack our clothes. Noisy during the day due to the construction of a new cabin and noisy at night due to parkway noise and a constantly barking dog. We left 2 days early with a sigh of relief. We don't need fancy but we do expect clean, neat and basic needs (hanging space and neat grounds for example) to be part of the basics. We chose this based on other reviews but our experience was very different. And the price of $85.night is WAY more than this place is worth. There are few options in the area- take any other you can find....

The owners are trying-but they don't seem to understand neat and needs. Based on other reviews, we thought this place would be quaint for a few days for work in the area. The cabins are cute from the outside and the bed was comfortable with clean sheets. That is all we can say that was positive The grounds are a mess. Bits of trash, cigarette butts, old tires, piles of demolition everywhere, a dangerous and cluttered play area. The check in office'is a travel trailer concealed in a grove of trees . Unfortunately, it smells dreadful. The cabin we stayed in had nowhere to hang clothes except a few wall hooks-the owner did give us a few hangers when we asked- and there was nowhere to put a suitcase. The floor was peeling linoleum and sticky- all the kitchen chairs, switched and pull chains were sticky for that matter. A very used and large dining table took up almost the whole room; nowhere to sit but on the dining chairs or bed. Electrical wiring and gas hook-ups were 'creative' to say the least. Well worn and stained towels, very cheap sheets that were pilled , bad lighting, bathroom with no shelves or counter.TV that was set high up on a wall and was tiny. Battered pots and pans. Disgusting plunger and toilet brush. Night noise from the parkway and a dog barking. This is not a place to stay that lends a good feeling nor is it neat and clean-and it isn't inexpensive. If we could have found another place to stay in the area we would have gone elsewhere.

My father and I booked a cabin here as part of our tour through whiskey country. I had immediate hesitations when I pulled up (given the fact that the entry sign had some trim hanging off, proximity to a highway and the fact that the office is in a trailer). Boy was that unwarranted! While small, our cabin was clean and quaint. The small fridge and stove allow guests a cheap dining option, and the bathroom shower is supplied with a large soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser. The bathroom sink also has a full size liquid soap-not a tiny little bar. The beds on the loft would certainly be a hit with kids, but be aware the ladder up is steep. There is a bench on the covered porch, and the best part of our stay was only a few feet away: a fire pit! The owners allowed us to build a fire, and there was an abundance of dry leaves, twigs and seasoned wood available to get it roaring quickly (you’d want to be careful on a windy day given all the dry stuff around). We sat fireside and talked while we sipped Kentucky’s finest for hours, enjoying the spring air, and this highlight will stick with us for some time! I should mention that we didn’t notice any highway noise. The WiFi was out when we arrived, but the owners quickly reset it for us. After dark, a big storm system moved through, taking out the satellite TV. This was a blessing in disguise, as it allowed us to hear the pleasant sound of rain hitting the metal roof, which quickly lulled us asleep. A little off the beaten path, please give the Koch Haven Log Cabins a try. And if you have any small issues - let the owners know. They are kind and helpful, and want your stay to be a pleasant one.

I am working in the area and needed lodging with ability to cook some meals. There are 2 local hotels but just basic and mostly fast food in the area and that is also limited. What a grand discovery with this hidden gem. Peg and John are a bonus as they are so kind and very accommodating when when my schedule changes last minute. Everything you could need, comfy bed, nice shower with good water pressure, all the kitchen I need for one person cooking and you don't have to do the dishes. Oh and the most important, the cabins are clean, clean, clean and well kept! You pull right up to the door which makes it so easy to load and unload, they have WiFi-free, big screen TV with Direct TV cable, Gas 4 burner stove and an oven- small but adequate, Refrigerator and small freezer-apartment size, double sinks, table with 4 chairs, cover porch with a bench, firepit and grill right outside, coffee pot and coffee, cream, etc, toaster, paper towels all dishes, all linens, real silverware, cooking spray, salt & pepper and kitchen towels. The cabins I have stayed in have a king bed downstairs with extra pillows and very nice linens. The upstairs has 2 twins which I have not used but would be great for a family or girls getaway. I am so glad I found this place. It sure makes by business travel much nicer and healthier since I can fix my own meals and its nice and quiet. No rooms above or beside you like a hotel. I would recommend to anyone traveling and needing a good night sleep.

Came back to kozy haven again this year for a family reunion love this place very clean and the owners are so polite and kind will definitely be coming back a lot if you come to Columbia Kentucky stay here it's better than a hotel by far a very quiet good night's sleep as well

These are great little cabins with plenty of space and amenities. The loft with queen bed had room for a twin air mattress. Kitchenette is supplied and just the right size. Owners are on the premises and very nice and helpful. If we're in the area again, we know where our family of 6 will stay.

Stayed at kozy haven just for the night. Needed something simple and inexpensive for the night before our houseboat trip. It definitely worked great!! The owners are extremely accommodating! Cabins were clean and cute! The kids loved them! Would be a great place to stay for a weekend, or a few days longer than our 1 night stay!
