Recently met there with family for a post Christmas meal, we all travelled at least one and a half hours to meet and had booked a table In The restaurant which was empty apart from our table. I asked for a green salad to start and was brought a soup bowl of finely chopped lettuce including the yellow heart and a minute amount of cucumber and rocket. It looked like it had been scrapped out of the bottom of the fridge and I couldn’t eat it. I then asked for a super food salad and some griddled chicken, the quinoa was ice cold and had some vegetables in it which were undetectable and the chicken was Luke warm again I ate about a quarter, my sister had fish and chips which was soggy and unappetising they did knock of the bill my salad and one fish and chips. I would not recommend or go there again. Staff were helpful and friendly.
This hotel has easy access off the A14 & ample parking, The reception area is bright & clean & staff are welcoming & friendly, lifts to 1st floor lead to conference rooms with a central area where coffee & tea is ready along with biscuits, the conference rooms are a good size, very clean & comfortable with all facilities you need ie:- projector, pens & paper, water etc, Snacks & lunch can be ordered & is set up for you in the central area near the tea & coffee, the food is good quality & again the staff are excellent
Came here with some colleagues for a business meeting and ordered one Tea (£2.80), one Cappuccino (£3.70), and one still water 750ml (£4.25). Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant.
We needed to make a business trip to the Huntingdon area and quickly chose this hotel because of its close location to the A 14. It was a good move, a clean and smart venue, welcoming atmosphere for what is a typical business hotel, well equipped for the away from home business person. A good gym which we didn’t use so cannot comment on the equipment, facilities etc. It was obviously well used by hotel guests but also by local residents who hold memberships. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. If there is a complaint it relates to the restaurant. The ‘Coming Soon’ declaration of their new Market Kitchen restaurant was no comfort to current guests who faced a very short form menu with the same food being served both in the ‘light bite’ (no tablecloth/table setting) restaurant area and the lounge bar. The food was freshly prepared but unexciting. The staff are very amiable and willing to do their best to make the most of what is on offer. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice to fill the needs for all appetites whether continental or full English style. The tariff was certainly set up for clients on business expenses so perhaps a little pricey
I stayed here last night and just had to write a review because I am so impressed with this hotel. The rooms are beautiful with a massive tv with lots of channels on. The bed is so comfy. But the best thing of all is the quietness of the hotel, not one bit of noise last night or this morning so that I had a really good nights sleep. I also have to mention how good the lesuire facilities are here, one of the best health spas I’ve been to. If I had to make any constructive critism it would be to have a choice of pillows and to have more choice on the room service menu.
stayed at the Huntingdon Marriott between Christmas and the New Year for Good Rockin Tonight,s Twixmas event---fantastic---unfortunately my wife was unwell and could not come down for her evening meal one night---asked the waitress Gemma if it was possible to take something to the room for her---she could not have been more helpful providing me with fresh fruit salad and a goodie bag which was very welcomed by my wife so well done Gemma and the rest of the staff who provided extra blankets and support. As always with Marriott the room and facilities were spot on my only disappointment was the over priced bar with speckled hen at £4.55 a pint which I think is over the top--maybe you could look at putting on at least one house bitter and one lager at a discount price. the breakfast was excellent --sausages are top quality.
Booked two days over Xmas. Lovely warm big room with good quality towels and toiletries. Tea coffee making facilities. They even put our bikes in a store room to keep them safe. Gym and pool facilities excellent. Since the weather was bad the water was warm so enjoyable. Breakfast was limitless everything you could think of and again quality is outstanding. Staff were friendly and always happy to help. Yes we would stay here again especially as we are not early rises and breakfast is upto 11am. Restaurant food was good quality too. Such a lovely hotel has to be at the top end for us.
1st class dinner, arrived early. Nice welcome , plenty of food the service was very good , very Christmassy feel , would do that again any time , we were not rushed and had a nice drink afterwards. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend.
Spent about an hour trying to find this hotel. Sine age was really bad. Room was a bit run down -not one of the best . Could do with a lick of paint and new grouting in the bathroom. Breakfast was ok-lots of people arriving after 10 but staff happy to still serve them .
We stayed for a Christmas party. Room #70. Lovely room very large and very clean. the Hotel itself was immaculate and the staff were excellent. Christmas meal was very nice and served on time and in a timely fashion. Very (pleasantly) surprised by the overall quality. Would be a lovely hotel to use as a base to explore the surrounding area. We did get the room on a special rate which was £85 for the room including breakfast, I'm not sure what the real cost would be but for £85 it was great value.
