I ate today at the Marriott and ordered a main course from the specials menu but the waitress neglected to tell me that to buy one course was only a pound cheaper than having two so was very surprised to be paying £17 for a very standard portion of vegetarian lasagne! Queried it at the till but wasn’t offered any discount off my bill. Not very happy. Won’t be eating here again.

First class Marriott. Staff exceptionally good, all very attentive but not intrusive I have stayed at many Marriotts, some these days not so good, Cardiff poor room for example. But Huntington good room good food and exceptionally good staff Had dinner and 2 breakfasts Only negative toaster at breakfast but this par for all hotels, the person who designs a good toaster, setting that works, no need to put through twice or more, should become an overnight billionaire. Surprisingly the hotel that came closest to meeting basic toaster standards was a Marriott, Swindon I seem to recollect. But have been diverted Marriott Huntingdon well worth a stay but then go somewhere other than Huntingdon, soulless town

Being very centrally located, and easily accessible, the Marriott at Huntingdon is well positioned for both business and leisure travellers alike. No charge parking can be found in abundance and check in, as you would expect from a Marriott was seamless. Rooms are tidy, well appointed and clean. Black mark though for the provision of paper tea cups and wooden stirrers. I know that it’s an American chain but is it too much to ask for a proper spoon? Leisure facilities were again, well appointed and clean, as was the bar area. Both drinks and quality of food were very good, although the bar was soulless. Only real downside is the location-being in the middle of a business estate means that there’s not much going on outside the hotel. Hey Ho, cannot have everything. Leaving the best till last, the staff were wonderful, from the leisure club reception to final departure they were all very welcoming. Massive shout out to the ladies working the bar on Saturday night, you do your company credit. Likewise, the door staff policing the Young Farmers party, professionally firm and an asset to their company. If we need to stay locally again, we would definitely consider the Marriott.

I want to thank Krisham Abdulla for his professionalism, empathy and outstanding people skills that he showed us at a really sensitive time. We stayed here for 8 nights whist our daughter had Heart and Lung surgery at The Royal Papworth Hospital. We did not know how long we would need to stay and Krisham was so understanding and attentive he could not do enough.A real asset to the Marriott group. There was also one particular lady who stood out in the restaurant older lady, slim with glasses who was also amazing. We want to say a MASSIVE thank you we really appreciated it. Excellent xxx

I recently stayed here with work but took my family along as they was having a day out. We had a Superior Room which has a King size bed and a double sofa bed. The room appeared clean and dust free. The bath and shower was average size and a nice selection of toiletries. The wallpaper in the room was yellow and dated along with the carpet. The main grumble was the pull out bed needed making which they came and did when requested. However, seeing the mattress on the bed was horrible. It had dirty black / yellow marks all over it and if it was not 7pm we would have asked for it to be swapped. The car park is a great size and access is very easy. The bar is nice and spacious but expensive which is to be expected for a hotel. The breakfast was very very good. One of the better breakfasts I have had for a long time.

The hotel was easy to find with plenty of on-site parking covered by cctv. Booking in was quick and efficient and the staff were nice and helpful. My room overlooked the carpark but I wasn’t disturbed by any noise at all which was good. The room was nicely decorated and had a 40+” TV which had lots of modern features. I used room service for dinner as I turned up late evening. The food was delivered to the door within 20 minutes and was really nice. The room services operates 24hr although there is a slightly more limited selection of food overnight. I couldn’t work out how to work the trouser-press if in fact it was working (room 156) so instead used an iron I found in the wardrobe so wasn’t an issue. The gym has a great selection of modern exercise equipment and the pool was open from 6am’ish to 11pm I believe. Breakfast starts at 6.30am. There is a great selection of food and drink to choose from and operates on a buffet system. (note.. would have been good if breakfast started at 6am as the drive into central London early morning took me 2hr’s). Thoroughly recommend this hotel and will be back again soon, thanks.

Well, this place is top of the class in terms of exercising and swimming in the lovely pool. Look at those lovely staff that work in the leisure centre that are so helpful and friendly. I think the food in the bar is great too.

I stayed at this hotel on business this week. It's a typical modern large business hotel. Free car parking, good sized rooms, conference facilities and a decent gym. Trouble is its a bit too corporate for my liking. Too impersonal. My biggest disappointment was for such a large hotel, the dinner menu is pretty poor and limited. Plus you are charged 12.5% service tax for the privilege!

On the plus side free parking, we were able to have breakfast in our room. Food was excellent and well cooked. Valentine's day dinner was superb and plentiful. Staff were extremely helpful and professional and had time to chat and offer suggestions for places to visit. On the downside the bed was very hard and reception staff offered to have it changed but this did not materialise. After a very cold day in Ely we returned to the hotel mid afternoon and our room had not been cleaned or the breakfast trolley removed. It seemed to be a hotel for business people to stay overnight or just meet for day conferences. Even though it was half term we only saw about 6 children with their parents.

We have visited and stayed at this venue before. The conference started Friday and ran through to Midday Sunday. The food was excellent in particular the Luncheon Saturday and the Black tie Dinner that night. Tea / Coffee breaks had excellent cookies n cakes in quantity enough to wreck any diet. Tea and Coffee was available through out the meetings. The staff were attentive and helpful. Only two small but never the less important black marks the whole weekend ..£11.95 for a glass of wine is a bit steep , but a £1.35 service charge on top is taking the ....., On a bedroom corridor mainly being occupied by those above a certain age a vacuum cleaner and hoses had been left out in the passage way. To make matters worse adjacent to rooms occupied by disabled guests. naughty !! Would we use the venue again? Without doubt.
