Just returned from a trip to france, we stayed for 1 night at the Mercure to break up the journey. The hotel is ideally situated right next to the harbour and only 10 mins walk to the beach. Also just a couple of minutes to the centre of town with numerous bars and restaurants. Two things about Deauville, firstly it's gorgeous and secondly it's expensive. The hotel is fine, nice modern clean rooms and adequate continental breakfast. All in all lovely hotel fantastic position in the town and friendly staff. One tip about parking, the hotel has a small amount of parking but you need to pre-book this. You can park in the local streets for free however.
We travelled as a group of 4 couples the guys playing golf and the girls doing what girls do. Great location with secure parking and many bars and restaurants nearby. Staff were hard working and always happy nothing was a problem. There is no restaurant in the hotel but they do serve breakfast, which appears expensive, but we ate in a local cafe for around the same price. Deauville is an expensive place but this Hotel offers great value and the location is perfect.
Very pleasant hotel facing the small sail boat Harbour in the center of town. However, if you get a room on the park side, it is very quiet, especially if you are in the upper floors. The room was not very but it was very functional. To add to this nice environment, the hotel is close to the market and the commercial downtown.
This Mercure was perfectly placed for us to visit both Deauville and Trouville on foot, which was our plan. The rooms were not big, but there were clean and the bathrooms were modern. The staff was great!
Great hotel next to the port, quite new very clean great staff you will not go wrong booking here. I love Deauville. And a great restaurant , go across the bridge to troueville to brasserie la center Food sex it's great
Stayed here Saturday evening in January as a package deal with the local Thalasso I've rarely seen such a small room in a hotel, (room 311 for info) The room itself is very nice, finely decorated in grey, looked brand new, very clean with a nice bathroom, its just that is a small box, rather than a bedroom. I honestly can't remember ever seeing such a small room The TV lets you choose, BBC world service, or Canel Plus but none were working, only the standard French channels, it bit much for a four star hotel The staff are very helpfull, the breakfast was great, a nice hotel, except for the size of the bedroom, especially if you compare it to the price of the room.....
This hotel is definitely in a good location. A fairly new building in an old part of the town. Ideal for exploring town and beach, convenient for plenty of good restaurants. However, the rooms in the hotel are truly TINY. A double room barely big enough for 1. We were a couple but there was only room for one of us to unpack. Could hardly turn round in the bathroom! They charge 23 euros per day to park in their garage - a real rip off. Street parking is free after 7pm but the staff don't tell you that.
We enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Deauville Centre. It is very centrally located and easy to find. We stayed in a balcony room which was very pleasant to sit out on in the evenings. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. My only small problem was the lack of AC it got very warm in the hotel room. There was a ceiling fan but didn't really cool the room sufficiently. Would stay here agin should we return to Deauville.
We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times and can rate it as good now a few issues have been sorted out. The room (403) now has air-conditioning and has been redecorated. Mirrors have been moved so you can now plug the hairdryer in and see as mirror. Pros Very central (between Trouville and Deauville) Very near a large secure car park (shuts at 22:00) Nice duplex room Cons Small breakfast room so you may not be able to get in. Hotel carpark very small (use the public car par) Bar area dead as dead can be!
Good location, close to market easy walking distance to all main attractions ie beach, race course, casino and into trouville Quick check in, friendly staff ..... Gave us maps and ideas of where to eat etc, booked taxis. Lift was out of order over the weekend, but staff very apologetic, had help for people with bags (but wasn't an issue for us) and gave us a nice cidre at the bar to compensate.... Rooms recently refurbished, modern light...very clean, duplex has two two flat screen TVs, one double and two twin, seperate toilet and bathroom. Ideal for friends or family of four. Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, small fridge with coke, bottled water and juice. Ironing room on first floor. Small bar with wide selection of drinks. You could have breakfast but we didn't have breakfast. Plenty of great places to eat close to hotel, everywhere within walking distance
