Check-in was quick and friendly. The room was clean although the bathroom fan cover did not fit the hole in the ceiling and the bathmat was damp upon our arrival. The city around the hotel seemed a little sketchy and apparently the front door of the hotel is locked after midnight. Breakfast was included but the offerings were protein and yogurt free. No staff was on hand to refill breakfast items nor clear tables.
The Days Inn seemed to be a new complex. It was very tastefully decorated and design features were appealing. The room felt so comfortable and clean. We wished we had more time to enjoy it; we arrived very late and had to check out before breakfast. Staff was professional and friendly. We would certainly stay here again when traveling through Calgary next time.
Asked for a handicap room, and the room and access from front door to room were barrier free. Appreciated that front desk staff provided viewing to ensure room appropriate. Very pleased with everything except access to bathroom. Door too narrow for a wheelchair, but good for person with walker.
Booked close to Foothills for medical appointment as have reduced rates for that purpose. Recently renovated rooms still had strong cigarette smoke smell. Manager upgraded me to bigger room which Was much bigger and smoke free. Good free breakfast and friendly staff. Good value for money spent. Lots of fast food places within walking distance.
The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful when we arrived, great start to our stay. Rooms were very clean, bed and pillows very comfortable. Their breakfast was ok, not too much of a variety though, but we're not big breakfast people to begin with.
The stuff was very friendly and informative. Rooms were very clean, our only complaint would be the breakfast, we found that there wasn't much of a choice...for us anyway, coffee way too strong, but other then that wonderful stay
Nice room, except there were no screens on the windows. We like to sleep with window open and there was noise of a barking dog. The room faced the rear of the building, so traffic noise was not an issue.i liked the comforter on the bed.
The lady at the front desk was most helpful and considerate. The rooms were exceptionally clean. We had two small dogs with us and were very pleased to discover a park area across the street where the "kids" could play.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, very clean and comfortable beds. Only recommendation is to have a bigger room for breakfast.
Sadly, first impressions of a hotel are an indication of the rest of the experience. This is an "aging" property that has not been well maintained. The lobby was dirty, the elevator was dirty and the carpet in our room was stained and appeared dirty as well. I would not walk barefoot in that room. The bathroom, oddly enough, was the cleanest area. The beds were soft and comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing. The breakfast items were limited, closely clustered together and the eating area simply was not a comfortable place. I would not recommend this hotel.
