Great service and location. Very nice beach front hotel.

Love the staff, great breakfast. For the amount of money, i wish that the internet is free throughout the hotel not just at the lobby. But i am happy that valet parking is cheap. I had a wonderful time. I would come back.

The hotel was well located for the trips to the Great Barrier Reef. Just a nice walk to the Trinity Inlet. The room was overlooking to the Inlet. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff very helpful. Service was excellent. Parking rate was reasonable. Free wifi.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and polite. The beds and pillows were the kind you never want to get out of. The boat tours were a two-minute walk away. Life was good there.

THE HOTEL WAS IN A GREAT LOCATION WITH A N BEAUTIFUL VIEW. WE ENJOYED IT SO MUCH THAT WE EXTENDED OUR VISIT. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS THE FOOD AND THE INTERNET SERVICE. THE FOOD WAS MADARINE, INDIAN ORIENTAL. I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE KNOW THIS. ALSO THE INTERNET WAS ONLY AVAILABLE DOWNSTAIRS IN THE LOBBY OR IN THE SMALL BUSINESS CENTER (ONLY 3 COMPUTERS). THE FREE INTERNET WAS NOT AVAILABLE WHEN THE LOCALS USED THE HOTEL FOR A MEETING OR PARTY. I THOUGHT THIS WAS VERY RUDE TO THE PEOPLE STAYING IN THE HOTEL. WE COULD NOT EVEN USE THE LOBBY OR THE BUSINESS CENTER WHEN THE LOCALS WERE IN THE HOTEL FOR A MEETING ETC. I DON'T THINK THIS WAS A 5 STAR, IT WAS A VERY HIGH 4 BUT NOT 5,

This hotel has been recently renovated. The rooms are nice. Wifi and wired Internet are not free and it is charged $29 per day per device. That seemed high and a frivolous charge to me. The interior courtyard has planter boxes full of half dead vegetation, which they should either maintain or get rid of. Other than that everything is great and an upgrade to the Executive Lounge for free breakfast is worth it.

[...] noisy construction on two floor levels beneath ours was in full swing. My wife heard jack hammers at about 7AM and was not happy. The morning manager at the front desk was sorry an upgraded us to a different floor. I didn't have the time to move to a different hotel or deal with trying to contact or deal with [...]about our pre-paid reservations from Australia. We had plans and reservations for our vacation that would have been lost or missed if we tried to deal with this situation. We were able to take advantage of the Hilton hotels location but could have stayed somewhere where there wasn't two floors of construction. But again the morning manager and I wished I remembered her name was very nice and very helpful and we were able to have a great time in Cairns. River rafting with R&R and diving at the Great Barrier Reef etc.

Unbelievable location. Two dining options on site. Right on the water, walking distance to town, shopping, the piers...great value for the price. Bathrooms weren't very clean, rooms dated, but overall, great hotel.

Hotel was in a great location for a quick visit to Cairns

The Hilton Cairns features nice clean rooms, a fantastic pool and the friendly knowledgeable staff you would expect from a Hilton. Although some aspects of the hotel still appear in need of renovations/redesigning, such as the corridors outside the rooms having a distinct outdoor motel feel and look, and the aggravating need to take the stairwell down 2 flights to get to the health center and pool, all in all this is a top notch hotel in a fantastic city. The hotel is located just a couple of short, easily walked, blocks from the main strips of Cairns giving vacationers and business travelors both easy access and a nice buffer from downtown happenings. It is also just a block away from one of the areas main marinas so getting to your tour boats for days of scuba and snorkeling couldnt be easier. The only drawback regarding the Hiltons location is that it is right across the street from Cairn's main casino (thus there can be some noise issues from Thurs through the weekend), but if your looking to enjoy a little gambling during your stay, that location may actually be a nice bonus.

The Hilton Caines is a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very helpful in answering questions and helping to arrange excursions and a rental car. The room was great with a really nice view of the harbor. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance (train station and boates to the reef). I will definately stay here again!

While we weren't bowled over with the luxury of the hotel itself, you just can not beat the location! It was right on the wharf/marina. All the shopping was within easy walking distance and the casino is right across the street!

The restaurant could have been a little better. The breakfast, although had great variety, could do with better quality.

Stayed twice here during a recent trip and was upgraded free to an ocean view room. Maybe it helped that I'm an HHonors member. Great location next to the ocean and dining and town centre. Good price for a Hilton too.

Great location, staff were awesome. Would stay here again. The property is a bit petty. If you use your credit card to settle your bill, you will be charged an extra 1.5% of your total bill. Also, they will charge $4.50 for using beach towels. I was scared checking out if they charged me using their shampoos, conditioners and soap!

Room was a bit worn. Bathroom needs updating. Executive lounge service spotty. Cocktails were complimentary one day, the next day they weren't.

good location. rooms were a little tired. very nice lobby and staff

The location was perfect. The view was beautiful. The breakfast that came with the package was amazing.

This is the place to stay from the helpful staff to the superb location. We go each year and this place will be added to our list of must stay. The staff just keep doing the unexpected and the hotel is priced at a three but is clearly a five star.

Reserved 1 king for premium price, given 2 small beds, must pay in coins for parking when exiting $9,,,internet $29 each day did not work well,,, beds have a pad on it to make it like a custom soft mattress...air conditioning was average took long time to cool room
