I was a bit disappointed that my "beach front" apartment didn't face the beach at all. Instead, it faced the pool which was very noisy. The location is beautiful, but if you want to do day-trips from the Cairns Reef Fleet, taxi's can be quite expensive. There is a bus right across the street, but I didn't try it. The staff was all very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. I recommend the Coral Sands as long as you are prepared to spend a little extra for transportation if you want to go into "town".
