Room was what would be called a standard hotel room. Bed great, A/C great but only drawback was the room was "musty smelling" and was possibly the result of the humidity in FNQ. Property is well located to restaurants and Cairns CBD. Restaurants are very much good quality with a variety to pick from. First time stay for us but would stay again. Would have preferred free carparking...seems a bit rich to pay for an inhouse guest.

Love the apartments , besides the great vacation and view you have everything you need - the apartment was well equipped and you get good value for your money .stayed in different hotels in cairns , but this was the best . Try it we would come back.

My husband and I booked a night at this hotel for our 23rd Wedding Anniversary. We chose a One Bedroom Apartment Harbour View which is what we got. However, the Apartment was only on Level 2 so, if we were to ever stay here again, I would request an Apartment on a higher floor. In saying that, the room was very clean and well maintained, with good bathroom lighting. For one night, it was perfect. The gym and pool area was very nice and my husband did have a swim on the Sunday morning when the rain had stopped. There are no bar or restaurant facilities but this isn't really a problem as there are many all around the hotel. A couple of criticisms for us is the fact that I booked this on 27 January 2018 and requested parking and a 12:00 noon check-in. We also called in to the hotel a few weeks ago to confirm those details as we are locals. The parking and 12:00 noon check-in were confirmed. We also received an email from Ms Kerrie Gee confirming those details as well. However, when we arrived at the hotel just after 12:00 noon, we were told it was not ready and advised check-in is not until 14:00. I work on the front desk at a hotel in Palm Cove. I know it is difficult sometimes to allow early check-in but when it is specifically requested we do our best to ensure that that happens. We also provide our Guests who are celebrating special occasions with a bottle of wine. Perhaps that is something you might like to consider, especially for your local Guests. The parking at the hotel was good and the car parking spaces were of a reasonable size. The cost for the parking was $12 which I thought for the convenience was not too bad. Would we stay here next year for our Wedding Anniversary, probably not.

Room was great. Self Contained. Clean. Cool. Staff friendly. Access to car from same floor as room was awesome. View was tremendous. Daily servicing of room if needed. Walking distance to Cairns shops and more. Could not fault it.

Excellent apartment hotel close to the harbour. Room service was very good, each apartment is well equipped with all white goods needed. We had a beautiful view from out balcony. The hotel is close to the town centre. So it is strongly recommended

This saddens me to write. I have never had to write a bad review. We booked Harbour Lights Cairns for the weekend and on our return home double checked with our P.A and our booking agent Qantas that we requested a one bedroom apartment, high level with a view. We understand it is only a request but what we got was not even close. My husband and I checked in and were surprised we had a 2 bedroom on the second floor with a view of a construction sight along with a dead bird on our balcony. I approached reception twice to request we change our room to be told we booked a 2 bedroom and that did I realise it was Chinese New year! This should not have even come in to the conversation considering we booked before we arrived. The two bedroom they gave us also had the second bedroom locked. I was then told that this was a house keeping mistake and I was to wait for Sharon to call us. Who was Sharon I asked and how long did we have to wait? Didn't hear from Sharon until we approached reception for the third time to leave our mobile number on our way out to a business dinner. Sharon said that we booked a 2 bedroom and that QBT(Qantas business travel) will call us. They did not. Sharon from Harbour Lights called my husband later that evening with no alternatives and was adamant we booked a 2 bedroom. She then offered to only charge us for a one bedroom. Small progress I guess considering it was a one bedroom already with another bedroom locked. Our bedroom window offered a spectacular view of rubbish dumpsters and a high level carpark which was light up at night, the air-conditioning was noisy and the ironing board was broken. All in all this was not only disappointing but as Accor members who travel often we would have expected much better. The only positive was the bed was comfortable. Apart from than that nothing!!. Regardless of blame and who booked what, we paid $269 a night plus car park plus credit card usage and no breakfast with a small pool area and no bar or food facilities. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! As ex Cairns locals there are so many better options in Cairns. Please click on the photos.

I am a regular visitor to the Harbour lights and normally love it. Very disappointed this visit when I had no hot water for the last 24 hours of my stay. Considering the cost of the room it was unacceptable

Badly let down over room servicing 4 days in succession. Complained and the manager argued too much blaming us for leaving a DND sign on door- it was there for 15 minutes only. Eventually they waived one nights charge out of seven but not sure I would stay at this property again.

Part of Accor. I've stayed here a few times on business, and really it is an excellent facility. VERY roomy suites, comfortable bed in a great location and close to an array of Boardwalk restaurants. No breakfast service on site, but plenty of choice. They even trust guests with a minibar, unlike some other establishments. Reasonable value too.

We loved our stay at Cairns Harbour Lights. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. There was a hand written welcome note on the table in the apartment which was a nice personal touch. The unit was very comfortable with quality furniture, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. There was also a washing machine and dryer. The view from the balcony was over Trinity Inlet, the casino and the city area, and there were lots of restaurants within easy walking distance, both on the esplanade in further into town. We made good use of the pool. Thank you to the staff - you were exceptional. I'd definitely stay there again.
