I would go back. Great location right at the amazing beach. 40 minutes from Cadiz. Great breakfast in the buffet restaurant. The hotel is very comfortable and contains all services needed. The level rooms are spacios and really comfortable. Definitely go there.

A hidden gem in Cadiz. Beautiful beach, great service. Excellent food and lots of choice for meals. Great for kids both on site with activities and on the beach. Very exclusive beach club with limited crowds.

This place is all dressed up and going nowhere! A five star hotel with zero star service. Average evening & breakfast food, no wifi available in our room for the whole stay, nothing in the mini bar on arrival, no coffee or milk in the room on arrival, twin beds were pushed together in our "double" room. Our request to rectify the lack of coffee, mini bar & double bed situation was handled by staff in a surly way. Our beds were only properly joined after an uncomfortable first night in the twins and a second request for a double. A member of the reception team told my husband off over a misunderstanding on booking a taxi. At a guess the management team must be thoroughly nasty as all the staff we encountered were, at best, grumpy & miserable all the way through to down right rude. On leaving the receptionist asked me if we'd enjoyed our stay and I stated that it had not been a great experience. He completely ignored this and didn't take the trouble to ask what hadn't gone well. A disastrous place - please do not visit if you can possibly avoid it!

first mention - the staff - every single member of staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, so helpful and nothing was too much to ask for .. we booked a "the level" pool-side room which comes with the bali bed and the adults-only pool u see in the pictures .. "the level" mean access to the lounge with all-day snacks and drinks, a daily paper, breakfast buffet, butler on call, bathrobes, slippers, etc. the room was a good size, altho a second suitcase butler would be good, with mini bar, nespresso machine and room service. the bathroom deserves a special mention with its bath, separate shower and loads of room and storage. the breakfast buffet was huge and they accommodated our needs for vegetable juice every day - no questions asked - every member of the staff seemed to have been briefed and any time we asked, juice appeared .. the huge and very clean beach is literally a 2-min walk away - it's a golf hotel and altho we don't play, it was very green and we could see golfers enjoying it - sadly, the weather wasn't great when we stayed, but we used the very large, new and modern fitness room and the spa which was very clean and inviting (included in the price) .. the main swimming pool and the "the level" pool were too cold to use, but were impeccably clean .. as it is a resort type hotel, we didn't bother eating out, the à-la-carte lunches were very good and the evening buffet was plentiful and the hotel again made a special arrangement for us as we only ate vegan / gluten free options .. a little soundproofing issue between the corridors and adjacent rooms, but I don't think I know of a hotel that doesn't have this problem and sometimes it's down to inconsiderate guests .. I would recommend they work on developing the vegan protein and vegetarian options and also consider putting the little logos (nut, gluten, etc.) against each dish on the menu (lots of restaurants in spain already do that) - they do have a "healthy option" logo, but that doesn't tell u anything about contents / intolerances we flew into jerez airport (car transfer ~€70) and flew out of malaga (car transfer ~€220) .. I don't often give 5* but this hotel is wonderful and I highly recommend it and will definitely return .. an immense thank u to every single member of staff who just made us feel at home .. we stayed 4 nights but I came back feeling like it had been more !

The Melia Sancti Petri is a beautifully appointed hotel that makes 5 stars look easy. The customer service is courteous and unobtrusive and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Everything is on site, from a beautiful large pool and cool courtyard to an endless beach just a few steps out the poolside gate. The bedrooms are light and airy and comfortable with a turn down service. Eating can be formal in the 2 Michelin star restaurant or semi-formal in the Alhambra restaurant or casual themed buffet style in the larger dining/breakfast room restaurant. The breakfast was excellent with cereals, cheeses, cold meats, omelettes, fresh fruit, crepes and all manor of breads and pastries. Eating out at a table in the courtyard is a lovely experience. The hotel was I estimate a third full when we were there in early October and as nearly all local amenities close around this time half board would be a good option. An alternative would be to upgrade to the “The Level” guest rooms which have a private lounge which is open nearly all day with premium drinks, coffee, pastries and snacks. All and all a great hotel to kick back and recharge the batteries.

Great hotel. I'm a regular returner so can't get any better. But don't like new buffet only option for dinner on half board. Better do b&b or room only. Barossa beach is amazing. Breakfast is great but a bit too much as your too tempted to eat more than you need.

Amazing hotel with gorgeous scenery surrounding. Stayed here for 3 nights in October with wife. Hotel was lovely, 2 pools and hardly a soul in them, right on a lovely sandy beach. The room itself was large size, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Bathrooms beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Good breakfast buffet and excellent evening meals. We found every member of staff very friendly and helpful. Would love to go back especially to their spa. Would thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect location at the beach. The staff is very friendly and the dinner in alafante was amazing! Also the breakfast was perfect! It was one of the best experiences i have ever had in a hotel. I would reccomend it to everyone.

After approximately 20 years visiting this area, and having previously stayed in two other hotels on the same beach, I suggest that this is the best in the area without a doubt. From the moment of booking (I booked by phone, last minute), the attention was amazing and really "luxurious". On arrival we were met with a smiling employee who took our bags and offered to park our car (MAJOR plus in this area is the free parking available - normally horrendously difficult to find somewhere). Check in was fast, professional and again, full of smiles. Another employee took us to our room...yes, smiling! Room: we had a standard room, lateral sea view, which was, in fact, a wonderful sea view! Very clean, plenty of space. Bathroom again of a good size with a wonderful rainfall shower. Sleep quality very good - bed was very comfortable and, very importantly, the aircon and light switches were by the beds and easy to use, which is not the case in most hotels! We were still preparing for dinner when turn down service arrived, so they just left us new towels. We did not eat in the hotel, but have heard wonderful things about the Alevante restaurant. It was closed the night of our stay (a Monday), but hopefully we will be back next year to try it out. We had a nightcap which was served in the wonderful Andalucian patio by...yes, smiling staff! Breakfast the next day was very good. All produce was of top quality - fresh orange juice, plenty to suit all. However, coffee was not good - I realise that only the VIP guests have access to the Nespresso machines, but there are very good Spanish coffee brands which could be served to the "poorer" clientele. Beach: Best beach in Spain as far as I am concerned (although when windy is probably the worst!). The hotel's recliners and parasols were well placed. I saw a waiter taking orders from clients, although we didn't use the service. It is an easy walk from hotel to beach. Pool. We used it early in the morning before breakfast - wonderfully large, which it needs to be when the levante winds mean you can't use beach. We were alone and loved it! This is one of the hotels where I really hope to return - next year and to stay longer! I have never been in an hotel where all the staff (apparently) love working and cheerfully greet guests! You just can't be unhappy in such a place.

Great hotel we stayed for 4 nights - in a level garden adult pool access room - pool was great as is the main pool area. Beach access easy. Friendly staff and efficient service throughout the stay. Bed comfort only 5 out of 10 but AC worked well. Breakfast buffet good spread as expected in such a hotel. Level Lounge staff great and drinks freely available at designated times. Only issue they is no non smoking areas anywhere in the hotel restaurants and no non smoking rooms which annoyed us.
