This hotel is well placed, only a relatively short walk from the airport, opposite the Marina, and a 10 minute walk from the main square with it's restaurants and bars. The rooms were spotless, and the bed comfy. The main areas were clean and the hotel employees were all friendly and helpful. There was nothing to fault and is an ideal place to stay for a short break.
My husband and I ended up staying here when the ferries over to Morocco were canceled. We ended up taking a bus to Gibraltar for the day and it was in a great location to do so. There were also good dinner options that were in walking distance. The room was very modern and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a ton of options for everyone. Overall it was a great stay.
Apart from a minor problem with the keycard, everything worked very well here. The included breakfast offered good choices, and garage parking was free. The hotel is convenient to the main highway, and close to the large port, right on the Bay of Gibraltar. There's a park across the street from the hotel, which is a good place to go for a run. The small center of town is about a 5 minute walk. I asked the hotel reception for a recommendation of a good place for Moroccan food, and was directed to a small, local restaurant about 1 km away along the waterfront road - a good suggestion. The AC Hotel chain is owned by Marriott, so you can collect your points there. In the morning, it took me about 20 minutes to get to Gibraltar. I parked in a large lot in La Linéa and walked across the border, which I think was much easier than driving onto the Rock.
Located just a little boit ouside the centre ,but at walking distance this Hotel is granting the good service og the AC chain Room and bathroom very confortable and cleaned. Good service with free wify and safe The staff is very professional and they take care of the guest in very professional/polite way Good breackfast To be considered for the future
Superb staff, great room, clean all around and very good breakfast. Receptionists are super friendly and efficient, I hope they are appreciated. The only drawback about this hotel is the location. It's a bit remote.
This is a good functional hotel for a good nights sleep in Algeciras. It reminds me of many other business style hotels around the world. Clean but a little worn. Friendly helpful staff. Good room service.
This hotel seems to cater to business people. We were tourists when we stayed here but even as tourists we noticed that the room seemed to be short on electrical outlets. Seems modern and was nice enough. Nothing special, but a good rock, solid hotel. Breakfast buffet wasn't anything to write home about. Apparently, you can order eggs - they weren't out on display but we did see a few folks having scrambled eggs. Location is nice, near the water and you can see Gibraltar from the hotel. We had a nice view from our room. Staff were very friendly and quite helpful.
Stayed here for two nights and would probably stay again, but quite a few things disappointed. First, the room was very cold at night in February and there was no way to control the temperature. From a Marriott hotel I would expect an iron to be available in the room and like everywhere in Europe - a water boiler with tea/coffee. The parking garage is a little creepy and on top the entrance gate wouldn't open during my stay. The front desk staff was kind enough to upgrade me to a suit and if you are paying the same price I did, definitely stay here for a night or two.
Good hotel for business however it is only a transit hotel. Fairly good. Location is good, room was modern and cozy, as well as the bathroom. Views to the seashore (industrial area). The hotel has a parking very close to the building.
What an absolutely wonderful place. The bathroom was totally modern with a molded counter and sink made of glass. It was a cool night and being on the 3rd floor, I was able to sleep with the windows open. It had a breakfast buffet a mile long with shiny stainless steel everywhere. The buffet was the most varied of any I have seen anywhere. Eggs, bacon and any fruit you could want. Cereals, frittata, olives, nuts, and the most wonderful coffees. I enjoyed all the buffet had to offer in a lovely, quiet dining room and had an extra cup of espresso before starting my day. I will definitely try and return to Algeciras Marriott.
