The stay was terrific right from the start. Check-in was amazing as Matt, the man who checked us in tried to empty his wealth of knowledge relative to the area upon us. The hotel grounds are well maintained, the rooms are spacious and I love that we were offered fresh milk during the check-in for morning coffee. Sure beats coffee mate! I loved room 222 with the privacy and pool view it afforded. There is ample parking, a terrific long walking trail one minute away, and a wonderful scenic lookout that you can see from the front door and large parks close by. The hotel features a large pool, nice secluded patio, restaurant and great location that is a three-minute drive from downtown. We loved the sounds of the birds, the iguanas and the overall feel of being in a neighborhood. We appreciated the coffee, tea, refrigerator, waterfall shower head, quality of the towels and working desk. The internet was slow on occasion so I used my phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot during these periods. You receive great value here! I highly recommend Northern Rivers Seafood and Richmond Oysters!
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, lovely grounds, hotel near the beach, spacious rooms. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Loved our stay looking over the beautiful pool.I was just sorry that we couldn't have stayed longer.
A good choice for any visitors to Ballina, close to the beaches - lovely for a walk or run in the morning. The room was very clean and tidy and staff are friendly. I stayed there for business - this was the third time I had returned which is a statement in itself.
The room is big and clean, and the location is great for the beach/surf lovers although it's not walking distance to the town centre. However, it was perfect for what we were looking for, with great staff. They have a lovely garden full of palms, pool and jacuzzi area, quite cute for a wedding. The breakfast was good for a continental and the vibe around was relaxed. I would recommend it to anyone staying in Ballina. Oh yeah, and the beds are super comfortable :)
When doing business it pays to stay somewhere comfy. Being so close to the ocean allows for reflection and deep thinking. This accommodation is perfect for the busy executive who needs to combine business and well being!
We recently enjoyed two nights at Ballina Beach Resort and were most impressed. While this large building does not present perfectly from the exterior, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the Wild Prawn Restaurant is truly a standout. We had initially planned to have one dinner at the hotel but the experience was so good that we returned for another dinner the following night. The service was perfect with mine host both friendly and professional. We are already pencilling in plans for another visit to the resort.
Very comfortable and appointed accommodation, lovely courtyard and design leading onto pool etc. We found the room to be a generous size and proximity to the beach was really good too, so convenient as only a few minutes walk away.
Dirty room, rude staff, not t all what I was expecting - very disappointing - I had to ask for my room to be cleaned upon arrival and I was given horrible attitude about it. It was the staff attitude that upset me the most- I walked into reception to hear staff discussing hat happened - they were actually making rude remarks - when confronted, they lied and said it was about someone else. Clearly it wasn't and clearly they should not be talking about any customer - especially in a main reception. Dreadful behaviour and service and I told them so. Will never return which is a disappointing considering the amount of travel to the area I do for business
We chose this accomodation for its position, as we were attending a function accross the road... Yes, we had hoped for more than the standard room offered for the rates..bathroom and walls a little tired.... Having said that, I will give this accomodation an EXTRA 1/2 star ...for the following......the ***shower head was exceptional, and I have included it in my photos. One of the best we have used, and nice hot water.*** having a small table and chairs in the room was very much welcomed. *** the open seperate vanity basin and mirror and good luggage and hanging space area was great as well as *** the inclusions of shampoo/conditioner/ a liquid soap dispenser in both the shower cubicle and for the vanity... A hairdryer was also available...we didn't need a laundry or iron. so I'm not sure of those inclusions if offered. ***The rooms double glass sliding doors led out onto a nicely manicured grassed picnic area which also offered a community BBQ, no doubt popular with families..*** The room was nice and dark with lights off...*** it caters for functions...***Our room was also a 'connecting room' ...so would be good for families.. ***The bed was comfortable, and nice having a doona. ***Air conditioning worked well. ***The beach is approx 150mt accross the road, so not really having an exclusive beachfront.. if you are looking to book for a special occasion and /or a couples week-end away, you may be a bit disappointed for the tariff .....
Totally happy with our choice of this hotel. We found the facilities to be of very high standard. The room was very clean and well fitted out. The Wild Prawn Bar and Grill was excellent for dinner and breakfast, and reasonably priced. Staff was efficient and very friendly. My wife enjoyed the opportunity of beachside walks, right at the hotel door. We would certainly return at some time in the future.
