Days Inn Shelburne / Burlington

We loved the place as it was convenient to what we wanted to see in Shelburne and Burlington area. Place was clean, modern, safe and the staff was super friendly.

Me & my husband stayed here for 2 nights in September 2016. The room was clean, spacious, bathroom good size, front desk staff very nice. No complaints.

Pool was a nice outside pool , long and had a shallow and deep end

I stay here when I drop off/pick up my son from college. I met new general manager, who was friendly and receptive to suggestions.

Super nice room and very affordable! Will be staying there again!

Late arrival and early departure. No time to learn much about hotel.

I have stayed in places from road motels to the Sheraton Condo Village in Orlando Fla. this place was the worst the toilet was leaking water from the bottom every time you flushed. I let the hotel know was told it would be fixed while I was out during the day so I stayed away the whole day from hotel to return later that night and find the toilet in the same condition. I had a circus troupe staying above me the whole weekend who awoke at 6am stomped around till 7:30am while also slamming doors the whole time. The girl at the front desk tried to credit my bill but because the reservation was thru 3rd party was unable to do so.

The hotel was very nice and everyone was so friendly! Our room was very clean and tidy, very nicely renovated with a brand new mini fridge (which was quite large and could store a lot) and a brand new microwave. The AC unit in our room worked really well and there were no issues with the room. The complimentary breakfast was awesome they served fresh home cooked scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage, fresh coffee, cereals, provided a waffle maker, yogurts, breads, and bagels, plus fresh fruit. We stayed there and just checked out the city and the scenery. The Shelburne Country Store is just a short drive away among other attractions and shops, there are two malls just up the road a little way. (If you are in Burlington definitely check out Handys Lunch for delicious diner food at a reasonable price with very friendly staff who make you feel right at home.) The hotel staff was friendly, welcoming, and polite as was the rest of the Shelburne/Burlington area. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to someone else.

Everything was wonderful, the only issue was the height of the bed. My mother is 84 and is only 4'11. We asked for a crate so she could get up and off easier and it was delivered immediately. The staff was outstanding especially the man who was in charge of breakfast and lots of other things. We thought he owned the place as he was so concerned about making sure everyone was happy. The breakfast was great, pool clean, and our room was awesome. Very satisfied!

Very Awesome Place to Stay with that price I am going back on 4/3/15 again

Rooms were very nice . Breakfast was good. Only problem was we had 2 children with us who wanted to swim and pool didn't open until 9:30 am. To late when you are on vacation and have places to see.

Room was on the basement/first floor. When we walked in the room had odor of marijuana. We had twin 9 yr old boys asking why the room smelled funny.

Traveled to Burlington to visit UVM. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, but HOTEL HAS NO SECURITY. HOTEL ENTRANCES ARE NOT LOCKED - ANYONE CAN ACCESS INTERIOR CORRIDORS AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT. That explains why a safe is bolted to the floor out in the open next to the dresser. The "updated" furnishings and TV were old. Furniture was too big for the room and left little room to move around. Air conditioning acted as if it needed refrigerant. It would work for a short while then shut itself off, and had trouble cooling the room. There were no windows to open, only a patio door. Bathroom was small with little counter space. There is no housekeeping after 12 PM - they even leave a note on the dresser telling you this - so don't sleep in with a do not disturb sign on your door or your room won't be cleaned. Breakfast was basic: waffles, cold cereals, toast, bagels, english muffins, instant oatmeal, yogurt, apples, bananas, orange juice and very bad coffee. Desk clerk took an old-fashioned imprint of my credit card at check-in for "incidentals". When checking out, I asked for a copy of my bill showing no incidental charges to close out my stay (and the possibility of additional credit card charges). The clerk said "they don't do that" and got upset when I spoke with the owner who was also at the front desk. The owner also could not provide a bill showing no incidental charges and seemed upset that I asked, but gave me a copy of my prepaid receipt with my room price blacked-out showing a zero balance. I am a frequent business traveler, and this was easily the worst hotel experience I have had in the last 10 years. This place is tired and in need of significant upgrades to the facilities, equipment, and front desk personnel. A poor value overall.

VERY ENJOYABLE AND CLOSE TO THINGS LIKE RESTAUTERS AND SHOPPING

fast check in, very clean room, room had everything from safe to fridge to microwave. very quite and the inn was full. very central to a lot of attractions

Day's Inn was great. Staff was courteous, room was nice. Fantastic location right off Rt 7 just south of Burlington. Would certainly stay there again.

With a nice view of the pond out the back window an breakfast deck, I was impressed. The pool out front was private deep and big with a fun fountain. The coffee in the room was not so great but that didn't matter because the breakfast started at 6am. It would have been nicer to have healthier food options. They did have waffles muffins, bread for toasting, raisin bran and frosted flakes. Old bananas. Convenient location. Quiet.

This is a WORN OUT hotel. There were bags of garage outside the room. The furniture was so worn out. The chairs were stained and the springs shot and visiably sagging. The wall paper was peeling off, dirty finger prints everywhere, the extra lock on the door was broken and just hanging on it, the doors were beaten up and needed replacement. The downstairs lobby rear doors were left open.... with NO card swipe for security!

Average room and breakfast but remote, heat, outlet in room didn't work. The staff was friendly and helpful

Assigned a smoking room and at the end of the noisy hallway/staircase after the staff deliberated, indoctrinated new staff, and defined the merit of renting to "flatlanders.". I don't smoke by the way. Nevertheless, I've stayed at worse; Thai hotels, and quickly took to cleaning out the ac/heat unit filters of at least 6 mos of smoke/dirt buildup into the bathtub (your welcome). It was pretty bad BUT I've stayed at worse in the 3rd world., and I was really,,, really tired. Early the next day, at work I was "complimented" on my airs of an "ol' time smoke house." Still can't get the ashtray smell out of my clothes.
