The front desk person was very nice and helpful. But the hotel appears very run-down and dilapidated. The shower didn't work properly. The cleaning staff was not very effective and the sheets appeared not very clean. The worst thing was that when my kids were trying to swim in the pool in early evening, DRUNK teenagers were throwing each other into the pool and yelling. It ruins it for the other guests when people act like that and the hotel staff don't enforce basic rules. Some people rent hotel rooms just to act like idiots, and many of the guests at this place seem very "ghetto." People handing bags of beer over the pool fence to their friends. That kind of thing. Not very family-friendly.

Road trips are beginning to be difficult for me. I have been coming here for several years and have had difficulty getting in and out of the high beds. I'm a short overweight woman of declining health with breathing problems.This year I decided to ask a staff person, Lolo, for help. She came up with several suggestions. This year was the a much easier experience because the staff went the extra mile to secure my comfort. Thank you, Stacey, for your aid too. 5 stars.

It was nice. We had a wedding in Plaucheville which was close.
Bathroom floors, tub and surround are filthy. Carpets haven't been vacuumed in a very long time. My allergies kicked up because of the dust. But the desk person was polite. Continental breakfast was so so, but it was the only thing good about our experience. We've been going there at least 2 times a year for 5 years. It still was new and we were thrilled to be there. Owners haven't overseen the property as they should have. We will look for other accommodations.
One of our family members, who had ambulatory and breathing difficulties, was in need of the closest room available to the entrance. Staff traded our middle of the facility room to one nearest to the front entrance. Hotel staff took it upon themselves to clean a recently released room and it took but a few minutes to make our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our autistic child a stay to remember. Thank you Bunkie Howard Johnson staff.

I had never been there before, so I didn't know until I finally got all the way to the room that they'd put me in the worst room, smell like a smoking room. Plus the wireless is not working for me.

Great room, very clean, beautiful view. However could not log on to internet and no one seemed to be able to help me, not even tech support on the phone.
Still has that new smell...very comfortable. My accessible room was clean and had a large beautiful bathroom...a bath with a pull-down seat with plenty of safety grip bars. This quiet place with rural fields surrounding it has a slow "let's get acquainted" feel to it. Too bad the continental breakfast is only so-so. Had a wonderful experience!

Great experience! Pleasantly Surprized! What a pleasant surprise to find a clean comfortable room at a reasonable price. Great location, right off I 49 and the employees were great, good attitudes from the front desk to the wonderful young lady who cleans the rooms.
The staff were pleasant. We were given incorrect directions and went out of our way about an hour. The address is not recognized in the gps. Staff were friendly. Nice rooms, but they forgot to clean it one day.
