I found this hotel on the recommendation from a friend. I personally like the friendly boutique feeling which is a little rough and ready. I was staying at the Sheraton for a few days and wanted a change. The hotel is right in the middle of the Palermo area which is full of great little cafes, bars and restaurants as well loads of funky little shops. This area is also only a short taxi ride away from most of the sights. For the price it is well worth it and yes there was a little rust running when you first turn on the tap but it is part of the charm. At around $70 dollars a night including breakfast in a city like Buneos Aires it is very good value. I was paying $200 a night room only at the Sheraton in a terrible area, but hey I did have clear water!! I would defiantly recommend this hotel if you are on vacation and just want to have a nice base. Great wine shot directly across the road by the way.
I love this place, is very nice. The location is amazing! Is right there in Palermo and you'll find a lot of places around to go to. The manager is great, he and his staff do an outstanding job! I'll come back!!
During our stay there were multiple power cuts with the longest one happening on our last day/night. Not only did we have no power but we didn't even have clean running water. The water coming out the taps was brown and dirty. When I asked about this at front desk I was told this was rust from the tanks and it would be sorted in the next 20 minutes. 20 minutes turned to 20 hours and the following morning the water was still brown. We weren't even given any bottled clean water. The lady at the front desk did apologise and said that we would be given a refund of the night as compensation. When we asked for this the following morning she retracted that statement and offered us a drink of our choice from the bar!! The swimming pool and terrace area is completely misrepresented on their website. The swimming pool water was so dirty that we couldn't use it. Even asking for towels to take to the pool was a HUGE effort for the staff. They also charged my credit card without my permission for the room after clearly stating I wanted to pay cash. If this isn't all bad enough there isn't even a manager who you can speak to. I have emailed and rang many times since to claim compensation but I still haven't heard anything back....Diego I am still waiting.
We were four and now we're two. Half of us gave up. It took 25/30 minutes to check in (no line just mess) and by the time we got to the rooms it was filthy smelly and with stains. Water would run from the sink to the floor because of holes inside the sink. The bar is closed. The cute lights at the garden are mostly dark and havent been replaced in a while. I've been to this place a few years ago. It was awesome. Now its sad. Left. Check their instagram...they dont have it. I mean...not caring about their image on social media kinda shows how much they're caring right now. Nothing. No love, no care. Bad, too bad.
Great room with super confortable king bed! The hotel's service is good, it's room are fairly spacious, with a lovely balcony. Very well situated! The lobby area is well designed & very nicely decorated
The hotel is an old mansion, with very old structures and devices. The first room was very dark and smelt bad, but we managed to change for a better one, although the air conditioning Did not work. We asked for a cab through the hotel that charged a lot more than usual. The breakfast is terrible . The Internet is poor. DO NOT ASk FOR TAXI THROUGH THE HOTEL!!! Do not include breakfast !
Had a fantastic stay in ultra boutique hotel. Really comfortable. Staff most helpful. Love the location in a very good part of town for restaurants, bars and shops. Reasonably priced too. Local artists and photographers show case their work In the hotel which adds to its appeal.
We spent a weekend in one of their rooms, exactly the number 5 and everything seems to be normal when we got the room´s key, but unfortunately it wasn't like that. To start, as soon as we got in the room, we tried to turn on the heater but it did not work, so we called several times to the front-desk to know what to do with but the response we got was "please wait for some time that it is going to start in some point..." In the end it never worked. When we tried to use the tub it had not stopper, so we had to call to the front-desk again to ask for it.. At the morning we realised that the room did not had soft curtains but only heavy weights, so as soon as we opened the window there was nothing in between us and the street.. The breakfast was a joke and a bit incomplete.. In the "buffet" there was no yoghurt, eggs neither variety of chesses usual in other hotels, nor bread.. and when we asked to a girl that was walking around the "dining place" to know if its possible to get some eggs, her response was simple, "We have not kitchen in the hotel", a bit weird for us that a 'hotel' that does charges AR$2.400 for every night hasn't a kitchen to cook at least eggs for breakfast.. To close with a flourish, when we were packing our bags to leave the hotel Sunday morning, we have found that under our bed there was a opened condom box since who knows when, which was related to the kind of blankets when we came in.. We talked to the front-desk about our bad experience in the hotel and he gave us a manager email to complain which we emailed in two times without any kind of answer, neither explanation about what happened in regards the terrible care they have had to us as customers.
My first room stank so powerfully of sewage, that it made me gag. I asked to be moved which they were nice about, and the room was tolerably bland. The Check In process was painfully slow, filling out forms by hand even though they had all of our information. They were disorganized and slow, clearly didnt care at all. When we checked out they couldnt or wouldnt give us a final bill, and 3 weeks and a dozen emails later, they still wont give me the bill, even though they charged our credit card in full, before we ever checked in. Be wary of the website, none of the rooms our party saw looked anything like the nice photos on the website. An awful experience for something that should have been so straight forward.
This hotel just offers a good location in the heart of palermo soho very close to good bars and restaurants, other than that, the hotel has nothing special. It requires renovation, the elevator always have problems, and there was a terrible in the room and the lobby. The breakfast was very poor. This hotel has potential, but a lot of work should be done first
