This is an awesome place to stay. This hotel/ hostel was included in a package we booked, so unfortunately I cannot tell you if it is expensive or not but I would believe it is very reasonable. Location: Unfortunately it is not very central (not in the middle of the well-known areas) but that is not a problem because it is just 2 and a half blocks from the closest Metro entrance which gives access to the Red B-line of the Subway. You can find your way to basically any of the main attractions in Buenos Aires from here or with some connections onto the other lines. It is also located about 3 blocks, to the other side, from the bus stops. It is located on the skirts of Palermo. Palermo has a lot of interesting bars and restaurants and you can walk there if need be. The hotel: The lobby and rooms are decorated in a modern pop art way and is clean and very welcoming. We had a room that was facing the side street as well as the inside courtyard. The room was quite spacious. Due to the way the hotel is designed there is no breakfast room which didn’t really bother us. The breakfast, which consist of 2 amazingly delicious croissants per person, are hanged in a brown paper bag on the doors in the morning. From day one they leave orange juice (one per person) in the room for the amount of days you will be staying. This arrangement didn’t bother us at all. I know a lot of people might not like this but we enjoyed having breakfast in bed and then afterwards went out to explore the city. The rooms have basic coffee and tea, as well as a hair dryer and a safe. There is wifi – which unfortunately is not great in all areas of the room but it was sufficient for us. They have an internet station with 2 computers on the 2nd floor. The staff They were wonderful, very helpful and could speak English. (Except some of the late night staff) During the day the guys at the front desk helped us with directions, recommendations, calling taxis and even to book tickets for ferries and to tango shows. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Pop hotel is fantastic. Well situated close to shopping and the subway is a 5min walk. Sebastian was a great help. I would highly recommend staying here price is good and the service is good. The crossiants for breakfast were great and you get juice and tea/coffee in the rooms. There is a small grocery store next door, which is handy.
The location was excellent and close of vereything The room was clean and quiet at night The personnel was friendly and efficient I will suggest at least one English news channel like CNN for your guest who do not speak Spanish
For a budget hotel, this was very good. Staff here are very helpful, assisted us to book tours and make reservations at great places for dinner, and spoke excellent english. Our room was neat, well decorated and rather spacious, with a view of the bustling street below. The bed was large and comfortable - we had a great sleep ! The bathroom was small but suitable. Towels and bedding were always clean and new looking. Don't expect much for breakfast. A few but fresh croissants get delivered to your door every morning, Cute at first, but after a couple of days the novelty wears off. You also only get the number of beverages you are allocated for your stay upfront - you need to "budget" your breakfast drink rations too .. All in all a comfortable place to stay within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the subway.
We had a great time at the Pop Hotel in Buenos Aires! Sebastian welcomed us very heartly and helped us troughout the stay with organising transfers and informinng us about the area. Thank your very much! Sarah & Gerlinde
My staying was quite short but everything about the hotel was really good. Ok breakfast is self prepared but the option are there, every room has their own kettle and what else would you need? You are in Bs As ... the city buzz in cafes and bar in every corner... and there are shop everywhere where you can buy your goodies and keep it fresh in the small fridge at your hotel room. The room I got was incredible amazing! Spacious, clean, with a lovely natural light. Love it!
An excellent, modern and economical hotel. Spent 3 nights with family in Oct 2016, in a quiet, residential area. Hotel reception where friendly and helpful especially speaking in English. The early morning croissants delivered to our door where a great start to the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Muchas Gracias!
My friend and I stayed at the Pop Hotel for four nights and were really impressed despite the relatively cheap price. The reception staff were friendly, and helped us find things to do, ATMs and laundry places. The rooms themselves were fresh, and very modern. The beds were so comfortable, one of the most comfortable I've slept in my six months travelling this year. Only complaint is that the shower leaks (common issue here in South America) and that our door was dodgy. Every time we tried to open it, it would take multiple try's to get the key to work. One night after coming home from a night out my friend was locked out of the room as they key wouldn't work. A lack of Spanish on our behalf meant that this was 'our fault', rather than a error with the actual key/door.
I stayed three nights here on first arriving in Buenos Aires. For a budget hotel I was really impressed. I was able to check in early, the front desk staff were helpful and informative. My room was enormous, the wifi worked well and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast comprised two sweet croissants and a small carton of orange juice served to your room. Being in a city, there is a lot of traffic noise from about 06:00 until midnight, and I would recommend earplugs. The hotel quoted me US$99 for airport collection. I took a cab from the airport which cost US$41. I also felt the tours they offered were overpriced and there are plenty of cheaper alternatives about. It is also about an hours walk from most of the sights and the decent restaurants are not on the doorstep. All in a all a great place to spend a few nights, but I wouldn't make it my base for a long stay in Buenos Aires.
We spent just one night last July at Pop Hotel, but we enjoyed the place. Great location, in a quiet and safe arena, lot of shopping to be done nearby. The hotel is true to its name, its definitely Pop in there. Really nice reception, rooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated in Pop Art style. Everything is really clean, they don't provide breakfast, but there's tea, coffee and orange juice available for free in the room, and the will provide you with croissants in the morning (in a bag by the room's door) I don't have a single bad thing to say about the place, perfect value for price I'll stay there again
