Own Palermo Hollywood

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The hotel itself is very nice. The staff were all extrememly helpful. The bed was comfortable and all the furniture was a gret condition. The location is a convenient walk to the metro at Plaza Italia so there were easy connections to the metro or the bus. The only complaint I would have at all it the bright blue lights on the HVAC and bedside lights that were always on. I had read about them in another review and just put tape over them and that made the roo dark enough to sleep.

OWN Palermo Hollywood is located in what appears to be an up and coming area about 20 - 25 minutes from Buenos Aires center. The hotel staff is terrific (helpful, professional and clearly interested in taking care of their guests). This is a boutique hotel with a modernistic orientation. More specifically, the well sized (clean) rooms have unpainted exposed concrete ceilings and painted concrete floors with a throw rug, two barrel like chairs and a built desk. The bathrooms are enclosed in frosted glass walls that are sufficiently private but, one might say . . . different, i.e. modernistic. A suggestion for improvement would be to replace the existing chairs with something that would offer more comfort and support. A drawback to our stay was the week-end noise created by an adjacent bar/club whose exuberate patrons partied until 5:00 am. Finally, it bears repeating, the staff is terrific.

I believe the hotel is for the couple traveler due to its amenities and location. Hotel amenity were very modern and clean, however, I could not find it comfortable for me and for my family. The hotel is surrounded by cool restaurants and night clubs and it made me and my family excited even at 3 am in the morning.

It happened to rain alot when we were visting so it was wonderful that the room was like a studio apt in the city. I loved waking up with the huge windows in the room. It was a very clean and modern room. I don't write many reviews, even though I intend to, but this place had tremendous customer service! They always seemed happy to see you. Highly recommend this place and a great value!

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in total. The staff were fabulous - incredibly helpful and friendly. Plus they spoke English really well. The hotel is very funky and modern. It is located on a quiter street - no noise at all in the evenings. Will stay here again when back in Buenos Aires.

Had a great experience at the Own Hotel. Hotel is located in the great neighborhood of Palermo. It's walking distance to the the Palermo Soho area which has tons of restaurants and shopping. The rooms are very clean and staff was extremely helpful. Free breakfast and wifi at the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Hotel. I only wished it had a swimming pool.

The staff is very nice and helpful, kept our luggage after we left the room, served us nice coffee. Room is modern and beautiful, so is bathroom. Breakfast is excellent and very wholesome ( mezza luna, croissants, jam, fruit salad, fresh OJ and coffee.) The neighborhood has plenty of good restaurants, we tried Grappa, an Italian, and Osaka, Peruvian-Japanese but there are many other choices.

very helpful staff, we had a great stay there, perfect for couples

The hotel was terrific - located in a wonderful area of Buenos Aires, Palermo Hollywood. The hotel is technically in Palermo Hollywood, though 2 blocks away from what is technically Palermo Soho. It is very close to a ton of terrific restaurants, bars, and boutique stores that are really nice to visit. The area itself is home to a lot of unique street art (graffiti) too. The hotel itself is actually located on the same street as one of the more famous (though a bit touristy) Argentine Steakhouses, La Cabrera and super close to many of the other stores, restaurants, and bars listed in many travel sites, books, guides which is nice. The hotel itself is a nice boutique hotel. The staff speak perfect English and are very knowledgeable and helpful to the different activities and sites. The hotel also has an art gallery in the back which is really interesting. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anybody.

This hotel is small but nice, with a great location in Palermo Hollywood (walking distance to many restaurants, bars, clubs, etc.) Our rate included free breakfast, which was very good, and the hotel staff was very helpful with directions, recommendations, making reservations, etc. The free access to the two internet-connected PCs in the lobby was handy as well.

The hotel is a great value and probably a very nice hotel for Argentine standards. We were upgraded to a deluxe room with a balcony...but we would have never paid for it since the balcony is just concrete overlooking more concrete. The hotel has only been open a year but the building itself seems to have been there a while. There is currently construction directly across the street and the walls are very thin....anytime anyone in the building turns on the water or flushes the toilet you can hear it. Overall though it was a good value for the money. The subway is about a 20 minute walk...very crowded and hot...we ended up mainly taking cabs b/c you can get just about anywhere in town for about $5 US.

Noisy because there are a lot of grooming of old buildings and building of malls across the street
