We had a bad experience in Lou Suites Esmeralda Breakfast is not even close to what is expected from a 3 stars hotel The hotel is also old and our room was noisy (close to the street) But it's in a great location
While the staff is kind, and the rooms are clean, after leaving the hotel they decided to charge me 400 USD for a chair that was broken before I visited the hotel room. I didn't even realize it was broken until a couple of weeks staying there. Not only was this inappropriate, it was a crazy amount. I suggested replacing it with a different chair (Mercadolibre has several similar ones for a few hundred pesos), but they refused on account of it being "specially made".
Nice clean room with plenty of space for children. Very simple breakfast. We enjoyed the rest there before taking a connecting flight, we did not have to go out from the room for getting food or a drink which we appreciated since traveling with small children may be a tough job.
Well situated in fine part of town, the staff is friendly and helpful, but wait times at front desk can be long for assistance. Free wifi but need daily new log in code. Rooms are suites in the sense they have a burner, microwave and small fridge. Rooms modest and small spaces to get around. Someone in a wheelchair could not have gotten around in my room. Cleaned daily and well serviced. Breakfast has many options. Full facility non- smoking.
Perfect location in Retiro area for exploring BA centre - between Plaza San Martin and Av 9 de Julio. Staff most helpful and spoke good english. Continental breakfast was ample and filling. Rooms need an update but fine for short stay in safe and quiet area.
As title really, very much 'does the job' and not a lot more! Clean and tidy enough, for 3 blokes on business anyway. Underground parking was very handy, and there's a VERY good restaurant around the corner (ask at reception for a good steak and that's where they'll send you).
Loi Suites are conveniently located in downtown Buenos Aires where you can either walk around or take the metro at the nearest stop. The suites at this hotel can accomodate a family of 4 in its two bedroom suites. There is also a small kitchenette and a living room. I did not like the conditions in which the furniture, the kitchenette appliances, the cabinets in the very small and uncomfortble bathroom, the old-fashioned closets, the old-style window roll-up shades, were. All of these were outdated, old, and with lack of taste or decor. This place needs a serious makeover. The room is not cleaned thoroughly, the rugs are worn-out, the beddings are old. The bathroom is too small and oldas well. I would not recommend this hotel.
Unfortunately I can't give 5 stars to a hotel that charges for Wi-Fi in the room and also charges per device. You can use another device but you have to log off and then log in on another device. It is free in the lobby but it would be much nicer to have it free in the room! Having said that our room was nice and clean although I could have done with another pillow. The staff were very helpful. The Recoleta mall is 2 minutes away as is the cemetery. The main shopping area is a bit of a walk but there are plenty of taxis and the hotel will hail one for you.
Lovely Boutique Hotel. Hotel staff were very helpful and went out of their way to assist me in any way they could. Very close to excellent shopping malls and restaurants. Very nice breakfast provided every morning.
Although this hotel is fairly cheap for buenos aires it's really not good value for money. The room was small and pretty unimpressive. We booked as it advertised a kitchen suite which turned out to just be a kettle and microwave - pretty hard when we wanted to self cater. The room wasn't that clean on arrival - hairs on the bathroom floor and a dead cockroach in the bedroom. We also ran into a number of cockroaches during our stay in the hotel. You have to pay for Internet in your room which is also pretty annoying. This said, the location is good close to many attractions and the staff were friendly. The breakfast is average - could do with some eggs. No hot food. If you can afford somewhere a bit more expensive I would go somewhere else.
