Right on Florida street , pretty safe location. It's on a fun busy pedestrian street, with no cars allowed. You take the lift up one floor to reception, where the staff are very friendly and speak a bit of English which is good! Quite a small hotel, rooms are basic but clean and quite big. Wifi is pretty good, breakfast is just your usual Argentinian one, with cereal, juice, toast, fruit and the sweet treats. This hotel is great for families, because some of the rooms have 2 queen beds which is very rare in Argentina. Overall it's a good place to stay, and the room rates are fair.

We got stolen in this hotel. Someone decided to take one of my best clothes during the room cleaning.and the hotel did not do anything to repair the damage. This hapenned on the last day that we were there. I do recommend you find a better and safe place to relax and enjoy Buenos Aires completely.

Right on Florida street, a fun and busy pedestrian street, no cars allowed. Rooms are great as well as breakfast. Wifi was average. There is starbucks right at the entrance of hotel and a shopping centre within walking distance. Another highlight of Buenos Aires is the old and beautiful theatre turned into a bookstore called "El Ateneo" is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We booked for a taxi day before departing but the next day as we waited in the reception, our taxi never came? Another receptionist simply wrote down the street name where we could hail the taxi ourselves. Not very ideal when you are travelling at 5am in the morning and still a bit dark outside. A little extra care in that department would've been nice.

For folks familiar with Howard Johnson's properties in the USA, this hotel will come as a surprise. It's not a traditional HoJo. Rather, it's a fairly modern 3 1/2 star full service hotel in what is perhaps the most central location in Buenos Aires. The street in front is a pedestrian mall, but a taxi can drop you off 25 meters in either direction (at the Plaza San Martin or Paraquay Street). This is a business/tourist neighborhood, which I think is more good than bad, as it is lively and safe. In previous years, downtown (the microcenter) was inundated with homeless (think San Francisco), but they've somehow now solved that problem and downtown is once again a good place to stay in Buenos Aires. Rooms are large and decently furnished. The breakfast, while not delicious, is probably better than any free motel breakfast in America. The real scrambled eggs are certainly an asset, and there's ham, cheese and assorted baked items (including many desserts, which I find strange, but is common on Argentine breakfast buffets). The staff is reasonably helpful and friendly, and most speak decent English. Room rates are fair, but the best deal is if you have Wyndham Rewards points and use their cash & points option. The hotel is also a good deal if you're a family or group, because some of the rooms have 2 queen-sized beds (rare in Buenos Aires) and there's no extra charge for up to 4 people in the room.

This hotel is located in a very safe area and great for shopping. Spacious, clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast every morning included fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, eggs, several meats and cheeses, delicious pastries, juice and coffee. The reason for 4 stars is their bar was very limited...overall a great place to stay

The location was very convenient to me, the rest was pretty average/basic. My too had windows looking at the inside... Hotel staff was kind and polite though. Breakfast not impressive and repetitive. Overall average but good prices.

Although a handy location I don't recommend this hotel at all. We were disappointed with cleanliness and service. The elevator was out of use for the duration of our stay, it looked as though this had been the case for some time. The pictures show this hotel needs a revamp and isn't particularly clean. The breakfast made both of us ill. There were flies on the food and the pastries were awful.

The hotel has a great location on a walking street close to Galeria Pacifico. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Beds were great too. The breakfast buffet is good, with lots of bread, yoghurt and fresh juice.

The Howard Johnson Plaza Florida is located in one of the best locations in central Buenos Aires. It is in a lively pedestrian mall in close proximity to parks and the harbour, and walking distance to the Av 9 de Julio. The rooms are large and comfortable with classic interiors and overall well maintained. There is a spacious gym with basic but good equipment. There is a very good breakfast buffet. The place has a few (small) drawbacks: Cars cannot drive into the pedestrian mall entrance of the hotel so the last 50 meters to the door needs to be walked. The wifi is instable and sometimes just drops out. Many rooms have adjoining doors which provide poor sound insulation. My neighbour was talking loudly on his cell phone for most of the day and in the end I had to request another room. To their credit, the professional and very helpful staff complied promptly.

This Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel is located in central Buenos Aires at the top end of Florida Street very near to Plaza San Martin, a nice expanse of green leading to the Retiro Railway Station. Florida is a pedestrian street and leads to the very centre of the city. All is within walking distance, too, of the Puerta Madera, the refurbished harbor district. A bit further will take you to the Costanera Sur, a wonderful nature reserve with paths for walking or cycling. The hotel is located in a multi-purpose building; an elevator will take you to the first floor reception desk and dining area. Check-in was very friendly and efficient; indeed, everyone was nice for the entire week I stayed here. Breakfast selections - included in the room charge - were good . The entire hotel is equipped with wifi, although it's a bit inconvenient because the passwords for the lobby, the restaurant and the room are each different. The room was on the small side; very comfortable bed; good bathroom; even a small balcony. There was however not a good writing table or desk which made working quite uncomfortable; I'd go down to the restaurant for a proper table so I could save my back. Nice hotel, though, and I enjoyed being there.
